its a DIFFUCULT call for OPEC , cut production will increse the price momentarily but in long term if the demand is still not strong price will drop again despite the production cut . Yes, our investments focus should move to contacts revenues instead relying on price al least till next year ...

We were historically depends on the oil price for the better profitability of a company . Imagine if the price stays at 55-70 USD, due to demand is not high . High operations company goes out of business, but those surviving
will need to change the operational for sustainability. Contingency plans to tackle low oil price taken by oil and gas company and the plans already rolled out. So this efficient companies will still grow despite the low oil price level. It just take longer time.

I still think opec will not cut production, they want the shale oil producer to go bunk , so that OPEC can be the majority oil producers.. Dollar might trade higher but even then I don't think the price will be below 50 per barrel..... Eventualy one side will loose in this glut and price will go up ...

Yes , currently it's better the pile price stay at this range .. The core is still supply and demand of oil. The demand must rise and vice versa for supply. Given time, sustainable company will adapt to current oil price and move on from there and growth will be seen. It migj take years to be back to old pricing strata. Then the price is justified. Currently the Oil price following dollar price, which is speculative.
