This forum is easily one of the most active...This is like the green myvi episode...when exposed by the camera..ouchh..all bets are off and become nicer..
I don't blame anyone who promote the stock they are heavily invested in...that is what it supposed to be and natural.
And we do need both the pro and con, so that we have maximum information. So it is very common to argue over such points, however just argue over points, no need to resort to name calling etc.
Now, can anyone tell us what will be the impact of Sukan SEA to AA group passengers, any estimation?

gcke,

You sing praises for the old man, nice of you. I used to praise him too, but he has gone overboard in his personal agenda.

I know he is experienced in construction, but he is not experienced in government. His calculations on the payback based on 20 yrs is not correct. Gov never should use such calculations, as government is ain't a corporation. For example, many of the subways in NY is already 100+yrs old, and it is worth the investment even for a very long payback. To put it another way, when gov spends 300mil building a hospital, and only charge RM1 per visit to you and everyone else, where is the payback? 100 yrs? Infinite? Government does not work the way the old man is saying. So building ECRL even expensive to old man's standard, it may not be for a government which is not thinking 20 yrs even, but much longer than that. This is not inclusive of the increased in economic activity to the region.

For a very old man calling outright in his article that the "PM is stupid", how to have respect? Old man should be wiser and avoid calling someone else stupid, especially to a PM. Everyone can be stupid sometimes...so this time who is actually stupid?

To all the newcomers here...with some catchy nick names such as pakatan harapan 2 (not sure why it is 2.0) ...why come to FGV forum here? Are you all suddenly interested in FGV? Is it because you all want to make FGV issue like 1MDB issue? Much ado about nothing?
Please contribute more positively, I am not even sure any of you are shareholders..probably just being paid to post. Otherwise, why bother to repeatedly posts here, especially lots of political stuffs? Try post some more useful information, not semi fake news from somewhere ...when i checked, everytime, they are mostly fake. Now let's see how swak repot answer in court and furnish the evidence that PAS head receive 90 mil...

KYY article is in itself a fake news. First, some lawyer, which can be a made up person to make news.

Second, donation to PM account, didn't he was told that the monies was return in the entirety to the donator as reported by none other than Swak Repot?

And says Isa is protected this and that, is a lot of just an opinion without good basis. It is clear that when there is clear case, MACC would act. Why make a fuss of this? In fact since PM replaced MACC head, they are very active doing their job.

Wahh..and KYY article on ECRL is even more ludricous, it is so simplistic calculations! Then says PM is stupid, what an old man...

And there is another article on JAKS..which 'plunged' last week, to which he is a large shareholder. He claimed that it seems that "The Chinese Bankers must have studied the IPP contract very carefully to make sure the project is profitable which should be reassuring to all owner of JAKS shares." While on the other hand, says Chinese investors for ECRL is ..bla..bla..

Really..election is near

limch, thanks for the link. It is clear they are hiding and misrepresenting things. Kudos to Khalid for simplifying it. Lots of people cant understand 1MDB issue, because of misinformation. Now they are trying to create same misinformation in FGV. Spin as much as possible. Federal gov of Malaysia is actually sitting on 100bil in cash in various companies and agencies. That is just cash, exclusive of hard assets. Saying gov cannot pay this and that is presposterous. Now I rather we focus on say automation on collecting FFB, this is one area where a big benefit can be gained.

Avangelice, looks like your expectations for payback in the stock market is quite aggressive. Money is not made like that. A business need to actually plan, work their ass, go chase payments, make products, take delivery, etc etc. There is no shortcut in life.
For lots of us, we follow those businesses closely, and we don't expect profit in so short time.

I compiled the monthly production stats of FGV.

Fresh Fruit Bunches
Rubber
Crude Palm Oil Produced
Palm Kernel Produced

Jun-17 May-17 Apr-17
336,162 365,317 341,243
275,733 208,342 110,917
220,521 256,313 239,186
55,608 65,633 64,105

Not so good this month.

On percentage wise, compared to a year ago, same month:

Jun-17 May-17 Apr-17
-14% 1% 6%
-1% 23% -27%
-8% 18% 18%
-7% 17% 20%

Maybe it was fasting month, slow collection, not sure.

Either way, i am expecting the FFB etc to peak to very high level, it is not occurring in this month. Only July left, after that it will follow standard production trends.

You are referring to a statistic showing how rich they are. I am talking about the relative speed between Malaysia and Singapore. They are not the same. Since you mentioned about moving backward or forward (or was it someone else), then this statistic is very relevant, compared to yours.

Now for the link, check this out.
http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kianweiaritcles/57118.jsp

You can extrapolate and arrive at the same conclusion for sure.

The article showed how the changes of the exchange rate, irrelevant to the fact that Malaysia is getting richer at a faster pace.
Also, a drop in exchange rate by certain factor, does not directly mean that we are getting poorer in a direct result. That is bogus.
The economy will correct itself and as we can see as evidence, our exports has jumped a record 24% yr over yr, and it was at highest ever recorded at more than 80 billion (a month!).

Of course anyone can find any statistics to show what they want, so please form your own individual opinion.

Stock

2017-07-26 16:40 | Report Abuse

Needless to say more? Yes you should say more, you did not check the facts.
The fact is clear, Singapore is adding wealth at a slower rate, in fact at half the rate of Malaysia over the last many years. Check this data for yourself. Therefore, Malaysia is getting richer at a faster pace, and Singapore is less. Which part of this is going backward for Malaysia?
You have your own opinion, but show the facts to support it.
Higher base does not matter, what matter is the addition of new wealth. Vis-a vis, Malaysia is way better.
Many people badmouthing FGV here, but what is the agenda? If you want FGV to succeed, need to support and push for positive change. Not bad ones.
So don't be influenced by some "uncouth" people who simply want FGV to go under so that they can claim victory as a bullet for election. We are talking about real money and real lives.

Ever think of the other side manipulating the Felda settlers? I can see that their voice is quickly written all over the internet, but not on official gov news media. So possibly have different2 camps, so all the drama in the FGV we are witnessing.

Everyone knows FGV is gov important vehicle, it is next target post 1MDB. So it is heavily attacked. They want to break it totally, until fully destroyed. Then can blame PM whatever.

This is called economic sabotage. Anyway, this is my conjecture.

My comment:
The Affin analysis is very flawed in my opinion.

Cost increase, for example, is a lot due to other factors, such as selling off planes..then lease them back. The cost is transferred from the bal sheet to the income statements. The net effect that you will see is that net gearing would come down, and this is exactly what happened. I wonder why Affin Hwang did not mention this?

Declining ringgit? Ringgit was already low since 2015 and 2016, in fact ringgit has appreciated and was best performing this year. Therefore this factor is a mute factor, or perhaps it is an opposite factor, one which can make more money for AAX.

Higher jet fuel prices? This is a very mute factor as most of AAX fuel is hedged. And oil price is not going anywhere anytime soon. So this is clearly a mute factor.

Stiffer competition? This has always been there. Didn't they and everyone else always mentioned stiffer competition?

Overall, my assessment is that AAX will be fairly valued at more than 50 cents. And i think the quarter result will keep on improving. Even if AAX do not make more profits, most important is it is still making profits. I am ok for the company to continue with expansion, and invest money there. So my most important metric is none other than, "Number of passengers flown".

I think 2018, lots of arab countries will go down the drain. Some countries already rated junk by rating agencies. Those arabs are selling shares in the Dow etc, so they are one of the big sellers, maybe in Bursa too. So those are the selling pressures, and it can intensify. They are selling billions of dollars.
Their currencies are normally pegged to the dollar, many could break and crash.
I don't see anything in Malaysia other than the election, which I think Najib will win. And the election is most likely to be this year, not next.

Regarding the 10 yr cycle, it is just pure coincidence in my view. Generally, there is a cycle, but it is not exact. Sometimes, 15 years, sometimes, only 8 years. And there are many super cycles too, sometimes they coincide.
For future, i am targetting AI, i think this will grow big very fast.
Nvidia, Intel, IBM, Google, Apple, Facebook, Tesla, those are the names to watch for.
For AAX, saving pilot costs by using robots to fly the plane, sounds interesting. Like riding the LRT, only thing is it is flying.

The fall in the prices etc. is not really the result of gov or BNM measures. It is mostly the market. The measures taken only smoothens the peak (and trough no trough yet), so why relax?

I found that lots of people here are very experience, collectively, i think the people here easily surpassed your broker's experience and knowledge. Normally i pay heed to what they say, but sometimes i do go against.

You will need to take into account the issue price. In this case, it is 0.15. This will increase the breakeven price from the exercise price by that amount. Then if the warrant is not 1:1 ratio, you will need to take that into account.
For the C2, you can check the issue price was 0.22 and the exercise price is 0.5, so above 0.5+0.22=0.72 is profitable for the buyer.

For information there is another warrant that i purposely did not mention, it is the call warrant issued by AAX itself. It was issued during the rights issue previously. I am a holder of it and it is quite profitable to hold it. For this kind of warrant, you should own it if you think the stock will move up. Further, i will not want to sell and i plan to hold it until expiration or maturity. It will be converted to AAX mother share at a preferential and fix price set previously during issuance.
