Some people are undecided on whether to buy KPS today or after ex-dividend on 14 May......

So, is it an advantage or disadvantage to buy today??

Today 13 May, shareholders who bought the stock today or earlier will be entitled to the special dividend of 32.6 sens

Tomorrow 14 May, KPS stock price will be adjusted down by 33 sens (rounding up) based on today's closing stock price of KPS to exclude the special dividend quantum because it becomes "ex-dividend" already.


PROS & CONS

Scenario 1: Buy by today, 13 May
+ Gets the dividend of 32.6
- Dividend only receive on 28 May 2019
- Stock price will be adjusted down by 33 sens (rounding up)
+ May benefit from any price surge above the adjusted opening price on 14 May 2019

Scenario 2: Buy on 14 May
- Do not get dividend of 32.6 sens
+ Stock price will be adjusted down by 33 sens (rounding up)
+ Pay lower brokerage fees and stamp duty due to lower stock price
- May not be able to buy at the adjusted price on 14 May 2019 because price may goes up

May be a good thing to lay low during poor market sentiment

Not sure does it relate or not, yesterday surge could be due to Leonghup IPO result oversubscribed, could be spillover effect.

The 2 directors are merely transferring their personal holdings to the company they co-own only - 7.14 million shares
Those 2 transactions were "off-Market" transaction at 1.40 per shares.

Technically, these two directors still own those shares transferred to their own company - indirect 14.28 million shares

Sell...no more problem and frustration.

Market today reacted after Trump said in his Twitter on Sunday that US will hike tariffs on goods imported from China on Friday.

My personal view:
Trump is using one of his negotiation tactic - threatening - to pressure opponent to ease their position and move faster...

I see it as an opportunity to accumulate when market drop because Trump would prefer/desperate to get a deal instead of a continue trade war.


On the local front, some positive news could be expected ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Pakatan Harapan administration.

If your reason is for short-term speculation, then you should be guided and follow strictly to TA, technical analysis...

You should have sold the stock when it was at around 1.70 because the indicators already shown OVERBOUGHT & the stock already climb significantly in that wave!


Currently MYEG is no longer in oversold territory
It is still very much an UPTREND stock
It has undergone a health correction or retracement (see Fibonacci) after going up significantly...because stock price do not rise or fall in straight line - it moves in waves

No need to be emotionally & negatively affected by the IBs reports

Just support the stock if you believe in DAYANG and let the price to show how is right.

US-based fund Numeric Investor LLC is a substantial shareholder in Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd with a 6.07% stake or 58.6 million shares.

Filings with Bursa Malaysia showed on Monday that Numeric Investor emerged as a substantial shareholder in the oil and gas services provider on April 23 when it owned 5.19% or 50.125 million shares.


It continued to raise its stake though the purchase of 8.483 million shares from the open market and raised its shareholding in the company to 6.07% or 58.609 million shares.

According to the filings, Numeric Investor acts as the discretionary investment manager for various funds.


In that capacity, it has the discretion to deal with all the shares held by the funds and to exercise the votes attached to some of the shares.

Today market sentiment is soft/weak...

Even after Trump mentioned the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries by name, suggesting that they will be stepping up to fill in any supply gaps once Tehran is edged out, members from OPEC themselves have remained extremely measured on the issue, saying that they will not be rushing to ramp up production.

On Wednesday Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Khalid al-Falih said that the kingdom will not be taking any immediate action to increase oil production, adding that they respond to market fundamentals as opposed to pricing and that the nation, the top oil exporter in the world, will remain focused on maintaining a balanced global oil market above all other concerns. “Inventories are actually continuing to rise despite what is happening in Venezuela and despite the tightening of sanctions on Iran. I don’t see the need to do anything immediately,” Falih was quoted by CNBC in Riyadh. “Our intent is to remain within our voluntary (OPEC) production limit.” Falih added that his country would “be responsive to our customers, especially those who have been under waivers and those whose waivers have been withdrawn.”

Current Price = RM4.70
Why AMINVEST recommend HOLD for FV ofRM3.95???
Shouldn't they ask people to SELL when current price is already so much higher than the FV of RM3.95???

Based on top 30 shareholders, uncle holding 23,274,000 shares. Not too much left.

Syndicates will play psychological game (manipulate their emotions through unexpected price movements) with retailers, shakes retailers off, buy cheap from them before they allow/push the price up. They manipulate to make money for themselves, winning from the retailers' losses.

So retailers understand the rules of the game and must know how to manage your investment or trade accordingly.
