Ewint giving another 6c dividend by december. They indicate potential more dividend in FY24. They have roughly another RM800M to be bring back and if they distribute half or maybe all collection, it is somewhere between 15c to 33c. We are looking maybe a total dividend of 55c to 75c. I wonder what will the price of ewint after that?....anyway, at 70dividend, i got back all my capital + 85% profit. Ewint shares at that time price at any price is a bonus....hehe.... ^_^ meow....

Scoop below 90c? Means at what price? 89c? If someone wanted to brag and price he bought really low, he sure has mentioned it. So i guess it is not too far down from 90c. The 1st surprise is initially declare payout 1st tranche of RM 300M suddenly become close to RM800M. They did mentioned that they will return more than 900M to shareholder. The Question is .....more than 900M means how much?? 1B? 1.2B???

Will Ewint drop to 37c ex-dividend? Company did mentioned that x-dividend, there will not be adjustment to price.

If the management can declare a dividend policy like BP Plastic, that will certainly boost investor confident. And stop all the esos and director disposing the shares recently (even thou a small qty) does not bode well with investor confidence.

Snowball was correct when he stated that the ICPT was reduced from 0.20 to 0.17/kwh. However, keep in mind that Tguan and many other plastic companies signed up for the Green Energy Tariff from January to June of this year, with an ICPT of 0.037/kwh and a GET subscription cost of 0.037. In short, they were only paying 0.074 cents per kWh. Of course, the GET was limited to 30% of total energy consumption. However, if you refer back to the AGM and AR, I believe plastic packaging was given a higher GET capacity, but I'm not sure of the exact figure.

Looks like Q3 might be even uglier. The ICPT was not reflected in the last QR because ICPT revised on 1st July 2023.

Demand for their stretch film increase and it contribute to 60% of Tguan revenue. In fact they need to turn down orders according to their AGM minutes. The blown out packaging demand reduce due to less online purchase compare during covid time. Management is exploring other market. Other segment is still loss making previously. If they can break even, then it consider positive already.

I think revenue will pick up abit because they have additional line installed and another unit ready by end of this year. I more concern on the profit margin. This is due to the electricity has increased tremendously. Previously they only paying ICPT of 3.7c / kwh. Now it is either they choose to pay 17c/kWh or 21.8c/kWh for Green energy. In their AR, the have promote that 60% of their energy is Green and thus makes their product greener. If they reduce any Green Energy, it will look bad on their ESG. Furthermore, Government no longer cap the quota for green energy and hence if they walk the talk, they are allowed to subscribe to 100% green energy which will results in higher operation cost. They are indeed squeeze between a rock and a hard stone.

The industry is facing some headwind where increased in electricity, raw material and freight charges cost. This is where the strength of management come into play.

Guess there won't be much movement till the next good news come along which is news on the dividend date. I actually have sold half of my holding previously. Only left 50% on hand and thinking do i clear it before div or keep it and take the div.

Well, I shall wait patiently. I have allocated a portion for this stock and so far has bought 60% of it. Still have 40% dry powder if it tank further. If it doesn't go down.....good for everyone also.

Do go thru the 27th & 28th AGM Q&A. It given me a very good insight. By year end, 2 more premium stretch film line and 1 blown film line. The stretch film capacity are at max and they need to turn away order for the 1st time. Depreciation of RM against USD benefit TGuan. In the 27th Q&A, they mentioned the raw material is polyethylene and the price is dropping. LCTITAN produce polyethylene and they have a gloomy outlook because by year end, apparently there is petrochemical plant in China that will come online and further depress the price. Pls read LCTITAN latest AR.

China is said to be shunning away seafood purchase from Japan if Japan decide to release the treated Fukushima power plant radioactive water into the sea. If that happen, China will need to buy from elsewhere. Could Malaysia supplies be increase due to this?

Now the stock in downtrending, no matter what good I think of this company is no use and it will only invite criticism. I don't know where is the bottom but I just accumulate according to my plan. The reason i can think of the current sell off might be due to the recent revision of the electricity ICPT. It was revise from Rm0.20 to Rm0.17 kwh. It should benefit more consumer but not Tguan / plastic packaging. This is due to they subscribe to the Green Energy Tariff. In Jan to June, TGUAN is paying RM0.074/kWH instead of RM0.20. There is a huge saving as 64% of electricity is from GET. But July onwards, They will pay RM0.207 instead. My math isn't that good but I believe their electricity cost will increase by 25% for 2nd half. Having said that, as compare to europe and US, our electricity still cheaper. Freight charges has came down as well, so it should helps in terms of pricing.

Anyway, from the minutes, management revealed that they are running at full capacity and need to decline some order. Their raw material price is dropping and same goes with freight charges. All this are good for Tguan

I believe many people are concerned or have the perception that after the money is distributed, this firm will be nothing more than a shell. It's as if they're selling their business and distributing the proceeds to the shareholders. Ewint have set aside funds for ongoing development and future project development. This is where the extra money is returned. That is, as long as ewint continues to develop and sell buildings, they will continue to earn money
