@Zhuge, I have never ever audit nor involved in any refinery company. Just that I peanut knowledge about hedge accounting if derivatives are taken as hedging instruments as general. As I said, I blow water only and I could be wrong.

Syabas has increase industrial water tariff about 20% on 1st August. Electricity cost sure adjusted after election. I wonder how much both of this will impact the production cost.

Hi Newbie, unfortunately I don't know n if I know if it will drop to 1.20, I won't be collecting now. I only estimate it will worth rm2.50 in 5 yrs time base on my novice calculation. Hence I think now is consider value buy.

I'm still in the mist of collecting Mi. Hence i would not like it to go up too fast either. ^_^
If i have time, mayb i will pen down my thoughts on the good or bad of Mi. I don't have enough knowledge to comment on whole tech industry but did some research on this company and it fullfill my criteria to own them as well.

I'm no expert, but I believe everyone is expecting a recession, and hence tech stock earnings will suffer. Most people believe that electronic devices are a luxury rather than a need. Having said that, I believe electronic gadgets such as phones and computers have become necessities in our life as we go more into the digital world. According to research, ewallets will be on par with credit cards. I now use ewallets more than cash or actual credit cards.
Android phone usually last between 2 to 3 yrs. If not broken, it will be outdated. Hence i believed the recurring consumption of electronic devices will somewhat support the market. That is just my opinion....

& they are paying themselves handsomely? the 2c dividend is consider handsome dividend. LOL, you must be a easily satisfied shareholder. Generally the dividend is consider low in shareholder point of view but Please attend AGM and you know why they pay such dividend.

Judging from the way Mi pays dividends, I think it would be advisable to sell when opportunity arises. The owners are paying themselves handsomely when they should be reinvesting the money into growing the business just shows that they are comfortable with the status quo.

@家俊, sorry for my language but i would if the boss dare to say this he is damm confident and got balls. I work with many MNC and some CEO attitude is "my way or take the highway" and they deliver. Some of them are very focus especially those knows their business well. Not only in operation but technical as well.

If I may relate my brief experience. I work in semicon or something comparable to it. I can't go too specific since I'm bound by confidentiality agreements even though I've left the company. I work for a Japanese company that used to be a top-tier manufacturer. They back test everything, and it might take up to three years to introduce a new model. Those days, the equipment they sell is considered damm grade. Built to last for up to 20 years. While their competition, let's call them Korean....hehe.....releases a new model every six months. They have a reliability problem with their equipment, and all of them broke within 5 years. But, because technology advances so quickly, even if the equipment is still useable after three years, it is considered outdated, and clients are searching for an upgrade that is quicker, smaller, thinner, and more energy efficient. So, now the company still consider branded but the ranking has definitely dropped tremendously.

If the majority of shareholders choose the dividend reinvestment option, the price will not fall significantly. I intend to go for the dividend reinvestment since you buy at a cheaper price, resulting in more units and a greater payout on the special dividend. I believed Q2 revenue will increase and beat the previous Q. They is definitely advantage on the forest gain but not sure what is the profit margin going to be like. Scientex and Bpplas have margin squeeze due to increase in raw material. Furthermore the foreign workers issue got worst. Not sure how much this will affect their operation.

Rm4.50? What you smoking sis? At 4.50, basically tenaga market cap is just 25billion. Any bigfund manage that has 15 billion, or USD 4 billion can control the country electricity and can hold the country at ransom. What are the chance of it happening? Possible if we become like Sri lanka

I look thru ann the available information and it seems to me TNB likely to go lower in next 2 Q. I'm not saying bad to drive down the price. In fact i hv quite significant % of TNB shares in my portfolio. Luckily throughout the years, the dividend has help to lower down my cost but i must admit at the current price, the dividend received is not enough cover the capital lost. My average per share after dividend is about Rm.8.40 and my loss is five figure. I'm no intention of selling my holding but put on hold adding more at this moment.
