@ryukin what you wrote is not wrong, but we all have to understand that many operate as day traders / contra players, they dont hold for long, they go in and out, and undeniably, most of these operators come in and out with big volumes (as such they can really move the price), not like most normal retailer who can only buy some at small volume. you should know the trend that insiders know early, and before positive news or good QR results are released, the price already moved. upon announcement, they will begin to exit. retailers who bought at high price are the victims. and under current market sentiments, not many dare to hold for long term, thus, most people will aim for quick profits, unless those who have large cash pile will buy and keep. remember, a stock only moves up when got people goreng/push up, once big shares/retailers run, who will be pushing the price up?

Lets see if this is a gem in the making.

When it comes into operation, it can produce 3.5 million MT of steel products annually, including rebars, H beams etc. I would say probably the going-to-be largest steel player in our country. Alliance Steel is likely going to supply all the rebars to ECRL project (i am guessing this since ECRL is going to be funded by China). More than RM5 billion of investment by Chinese companies. Do you think current steel players in Malaysia possess the better technology, better efficiency or lower production costs compared to the Chinese? Hard to say. So, if you are long term player, this is for you to consider.

I have a question here for ECRL. since this is taken up by CCCC, funded by China, anybody knows what's the deal for this? are they required to purchase rebar locally? or they can import from China? since they are funding the project, cost might not be a tooo big issue with them, who knows their ultimate agenda.

I noted that Lau333 highlighted several projects which have yet commenced / uncertain.

BRT Federal Line has been canceled (news 2 days ago).

MRT3 is uncertain, though MRTCorp called tender, but obviously, government no money, so tenderers need to propose financing to fund the entire project. Again, near election, everything is hard to say. Same goes to PTMP. Uncertain. The thing about Malaysia, political factors kill off many good projects.

So again, nothing is solid and absolute, just like Bursa, so trade at your own discretion.
