In bad times, gomen spends to revitalize the economy. The problem here is : in good times, they also do the same ! One way is to print RM out of the thin air like the Americans do. Could we?

Unless gomen funds comes in to stabilize the market.

No doubt it rebounded. But this is wave 3. It is going to retest its new lows after wave 4 to complete the 5 waves.

This stock only takes buy, sell commission, listing fees. ...as its income. Oil price, exchange rates have little effect. Whether we panic buy or panic sell, it stands to gain.

Thailand and Vietnam overtaking M'sia is a small thing. The worst thing to come is when Thailand builds the Kra Canal.

The idea of Kra Canal existed in the 1970s at the height of US economic n military power. LKY sought the help of the US not to fund n build the canal.

Now, the PRC has the expertise and funding to build the canal. It is a matter of "when". Thailand has not forgetten the US betrayal following the fall of Saigon in 1975.

They call themselves democrats with democractic ideals...Anwar is likely just a hypocrite....while LKS is a life long oppositionist,,,probably that is his natural habitat. ...............................none of them are Deng Siew Peng............any cat will do........and cross the river while feeling the stones............and that............is the state of malaysian politics.................Dr M is both a patriot and a practical man...............alas people of lesser intelligence will mis understand Dr M............and even become cynics.............

Look! Even if Agong appoints Anwar Ibrahim as the new PM8, it won't hold long as parliment open in March will see vote of no confidence against him!
And if Anwar Ibrahim cannot get 112 MPs to side with him, then Anwar has to make way for GE15!
And even if Anwar survive March, it does not mean he will survive for the next 3 years!
Come on guys! The vote of no confidence will be played out every parliment sessions!

S'pore is rich. For M'sia, what do we expect ? In good times, we run deficit, in bad times we run deficit. The result is we are in big debt.

Keynes' idea is to run surplus during good times n deficit during the bad.

As long as it is not negative. M'sia 's debt shot up to near limits after Jibby splashed stimulus in the wake of 2009 GFC. Was this oversized big splash, which we could hardly afford, really necessary then ?

Now, we have even less room to manoeuvre due to debt ceiling. The saving grace is the national debt is mostly denominated in MYR.

The US stockmarts went up due to mostly share buybacks by the companies themselves instead of investing in R & D.

It means that the pattern will likely to end somewhere there n there will be harmonic support there. But markets have life on their own. Markets do not necessarily have to obey trend lines,....etc. We are dealing with probabilities.
