You have misunderstood the statement. It means the analyst has upgraded the target price from 1.68 to 1.72 and 1.72 is 24% higher than the current price of 1.39.

With such low margin for CRM hardware, Opensys future cannot depend on CRM hardware sales, it is not exciting at all. As for software, there are 2 ways that CRMs are integrated into banking system. 1. Direct integration, this will be one off system integration, there will be no recurring income for Opensys, for large integration, most bank will choose this form of integration. 2. Use middle ware to act as communication between CRM and the rest of banking system, this will have recurring income for Opensys.

Perhaps someone can ask Opensys directors to ascertain which method they are using then we can know the prospect of Opensys better.

Convicted and committed investors should stay the course...when price goes down, a lot of people will becomes negative... anyone in doubt should drive around in his or her vicinity and visit Hong Leong, Maybank and Public Bank and count how many OKI CRM are installed...one machine assumed 50k. If assume 300 machines installed, it is 15 million. If the machine is more than 50k and no of machines is more, then it is more than 15 millions...

I briefly read the QR report, unrealized forex gain is about 10 million. The QR result is still commendable.

Read the edge market article, the profit is mainly due to unrealized forex gain, it means just gain recorded in account not real cash, it can be reversed or gain more subject to movement RM vs foreign currency, I guess it is USD.

Did anyone read the QR report thoroughly? Please share how much unrealized forex gain in this case.

I believe main income comes from selling machines. Service revenue is less than 15% of total revenue.
The key for Opensys to sell more OKI CRM is reliability (more up time compares to competitors like Hitachi, Wincor Nixdoft etc) and fast response on breakdown services. If Opensys can achieve these two main criteria. I can see more sales coming for Opensys, it is very possible for OKI to hit their target I.e. 40% market share in Malaysia.

The Group recorded a share of result of associate of RM85.3 million in current year quarter. The investment in Ping Petroleum Limited ("Ping") is accounted for in the consolidated financial statements using the equity method. The subscription in Subscription Shares in Ping had been completed by DNeX Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. (“DNeX Petroleum”) on 30 June 2016. DNeX Petroleum currently holds 30% equity interest in Ping.

Dnex paid USD 10 million (about RM 40 million) for 30% in Ping Petroleum just few months ago, and now they get 85.3 million. This is Superb investment, if it is correct.

This is the best time for Opensys to apply transfer to main board, Opensys should able to achieve 20 million profit in last 3 FY and 6 million PAT in latest FY, in view of the great sales of OKI CRM this year.

3. If transfer to main board, Opensys will attract institution/fund investment.

Nobody will know except the board of directors of Opensys.

If Opensys apply transfer to main board, I reckoned it will go above 50 sen at least.

Nobody can tell u exactly when is the right time to buy and at what price. If someone can do that, then the person will be super rich just by investing in share. Even Warren Buffet sometimes lost money in stock market or at least paper lost.
A few questions you should yourself before investing in this counter are

1. How long are you going to hold the share, if there is a sudden downturn, will you hold on to it?
2. Do you see the company will continue to grow in next 3 years or beyond. You have make a judgement call.
3. Is the counter going to transfer to main board and when? Again it is a guess, unless insider leak out information, fyi, insider trading (trade with insider information) is a crime in Malaysia. Transferring to main board will be a main catalyst for this counter, most likely they will be a bonus issues to coincide with it.

Just saw One OKI CRm at Public Bank at Kampar, Perak. Just remember saw 3 OKI CRM at Public Bank State PJ on Saturday

The main reason for bank to install CRM instead of CDM and ATM is to improve productivity. Generally ATM is more reliable than CRM. So the main criteria for bank to select a particular brand of CRM is reliability, there is no point to have CRM that has high down time.

If OKI can proven its CRM is more reliable than other brands, there will be more business line up for Opensys.

FYI, OKI has 40 years of experience in making CRM and has 40% Japan market share. It has feature that can detect counterfeit notes as well and segregates them from the deposited stash, not sure this feature is in Malaysian OKI CRM version.
