KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): The Ministry of Health's (MoH) Covid-19 test screening will provide multiple monetisation opportunities to My EG Services Bhd (MyEG), according to CGS-CIMB Research.
In a note today, the research house's analyst Mohd Shanaz Noor Azam said there will be three monetisation opportunities from the project, namely Covid-19 test screening fee (which ranges from RM30 to RM150 for Malaysian nationals and RM60-250 for foreigners, depending on the type of Covid-19 detection test), service fee for mandatory quarantine at a private facility, and a "meet and greet" service to assist travellers throughout the processes.
“We understand that the Covid-19 test screening will be done twice, once on arrival and again on the 14th day after arrival,” he added.
MyEG announced yesterday it had received a letter of acceptance from the MoH to undertake the provision of an online payment system for inbound travellers to pay for Covid-19 test screening and quarantine charges, prior to their arrival in the country.
While no fixed value for the project has been given by management, CGS-CIMB sees room for higher Covid-19 test screening demand with the potential recovery in tourist arrivals beyond 2020.
“The latest passenger traffic data published by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd indicated a total of 85,000 international travellers in August 2020. Assuming a 50-50 mix between arriving and departing passengers, we estimate an average of 1,300 international arrivals daily,” said Mohd Shanaz.
CGS-CIMB also projected a recovery in international passenger traffic from 10 million in 2020, to 18.6 million in 2021 and 39.9 million in 2022.
CGS-CIMB reiterates its "add" call on MyEG, with an unchanged target price of RM1.96.
MyEG shares rose 3 sen or 2.24% to RM1.37 at 10.13am.

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): MY EG Services Bhd (MYEG) has received a letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Health to undertake the provision of an online payment system for inbound travellers to pay for COVID-19 screening tests and quarantine charges, prior to their arrival in the country.
The system is to be implemented at all entry points into the country, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
“The project is intended to facilitate the implementation of the relevant Government measures to control the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus by enhancing and expediting the process of administering COVID-19 screening and designating quarantine locations for travellers, both Malaysians and non-Malaysians, arriving in Malaysia,” said the group.
The project has a tenure of two years effective Nov 1, 2020, with no fixed value, as it is dependent on the number of transactions and the service options selected by users.
The board of MYEG is of the view that the project is in the best interest of the company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020, onwards.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of the company has any direct or indirect interest in the project, the group said.

For FY20, Lotte Chemical Titan should be seeing its worst year, according to KAF, and thereafter be on a gradual path to recovery starting 2021 with spreads stabilising at US$400-US$500 per tonne levels.
PETALING JAYA: The rising price of polyethylene (PE), which has recovered to US$900 per tonne from the weak levels observed during the second quarter, will lead to a stronger second half for Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd.
According to KAF Research, the spread of PE-to-naphtha (the raw material used to produce its chemical products) has expanded close to US$600 per-tonne-level in September 2020, compared with US$480-US$520 per tonne back in the second quarter of 2020.
This came as the result of stronger PE prices because Hurricane Laura in the US has affected production in the US after damage to local infrastructure. Meanwhile, prices of naphtha – obtained by refining crude oil – are lower recently, falling along with Brent crude prices.
Although second half 2020 is expected to be stronger for Lotte Chemical Titan, KAF still envisages the upside of the spreads to be limited as “the expected incremental supply of PE in 2021 is likely to still outpace incremental demand on a global basis”.
Additionally, the affected US plants should restart operations by end of 2020, bringing petrochemical dynamics back to normal.
“Hence, our product spreads assumptions for both financial year 2020 (FY20) and FY21 remain very conservative at circa US$436 per tonne and US$443 per tonne, respectively, ” it said in a report.
The research firm foresees naphtha prices to gradually strengthen starting 2021.
For FY20, Lotte Chemical Titan should be seeing its worst year, according to KAF, and thereafter be on a gradual path to recovery starting 2021 with spreads stabilising at US$400-US$500 per tonne levels.
The petrochemical group posted a core profit of RM48.5mil in second quarter 2020 when the average PE-naphtha spread was at U$487 per tonne.
“In first half 2020, core loss was at RM91.7mil, hence, our base case assumption implies lower product spread in fourth quarter 2020 on the back of weaker product prices as US plants come online gradually, ” said KAF.
Meanwhile, Lotte Chemical Titan’s major Indonesian expansion plan has yet to start, with the date of investment undisclosed due to the currently weak market climate.
This, said KAF, should help allay investor concerns over the potential for the company being caught out by a prolonged petrochemical price dip due to the significant investment needed for that Indonesia project.
“We believe the company will not be paying a higher dividend in 2020, given challenging global conditions and instead reserve its cash pile (RM1.67 per share) for major project expansions in the future, ” it added.
The research firm has maintained a “buy” on the stock with a sum-of-part target price held at RM2.55.

Stop Loss RM0.850
Possible for further upside. OPENSYS is attempting to extend its current uptrend. Improving RSI and MACD indicators currently signal reasonable entry level, with anticipation of continuous improvement in both momentum and trend in the near term. Should resistance level of RM1.03 be genuinely broken with renewed buying interest, it may continue to lift price higher to subsequent resistance levels of RM1.09 and RM1.14.
However, failure to hold on to support level of RM0.920 may indicate weakness in the share price and hence, a cut-loss signal.

#MYEG 增新服务激励财测
2020年10月05日
分析:联昌国际投行研究
目标价:1.96令吉
最新进展:
MyEG(MYEG,0138,

CGS-CIMB: Reiterate Add, with a higher RM1.96 TP
Expanding service offerings for the Road Transport Department
MYEG is introducing new services for the Road Transport Department
(RTD), namely: 1) online renewal of motorcycle road tax, and 2) online renewal of
competent driving licences (CDL). The latest development is not a surprise, given that MyEG has mentioned that it is exploring new online services, leveraging on the government’s plan to accelerate consumer adoption of e-government services, especially with the ongoing Covid-19
pandemic;
Raising FY20-22F EPS by 6-8%
MyEG estimates that RTD processed about 10m motorcycle
road tax renewals per annum. Assuming that MyEG captures 10-20% market share of
users to take up its full bundle service — which includes online road tax renewal,
insurance and delivery fee — at a potential RM30 ARPU, MyEG could fetch RM30m-60m
revenue per annum. We raise our FY20-22F EPS by 6-8% to reflect earnings contribution from these new services.
Bigger monetisation potential from Covid-19 screening service
MyEG sees attractive monetisation prospects from its Covid-19 screening service,
following the government’s new regulations requiring returning Malaysians and travellers
from overseas to pay for their Covid-19 screenings since Jul 20. We understand that the
fee for the polymerise chain reaction (PCR) test is set at RM150 for Malaysians and
RM250 for foreigners. To recap, MyEG has conducted 150k Covid-19 test screenings,
booked through its one-stop portal, since it was launched in early-Jun.
Reiterate Add with a higher RM1.96 TP, still based on 24x CY21F P/E, in line with its 5-
year mean. Winning the Visa Luar Negara and National Integrated Immigration System
(NIISe) contracts and higher-than-expected earnings contribution from its Covid-19

PETALING JAYA: The progressive advancement in digital technology is a boon for QES Group Bhd, as the company is well-positioned to tap future demand for semiconductors.
Managing director and president Chew Ne Weng (pic) said the eventual mass rollout of 5G will prompt an upgrade in a lot of devices and infrastructure which will drive demand for semiconductors.
“This is an exciting time. Technologies like 5G, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence will take off in a big way. If the pandemic can be contained next year, then things will take off, maybe, by mid-2021.
“I think the next three years will be very good for companies involved in semiconductor, equipment making, or relating to these market segments. I foresee strong growth.
“For example, your new 5G enabled phone will have a lot of new components. Then there’s the IR4.0 where there will be a lot of sensors, which uses semiconductors.

“And when electric vehicles become more prevalent, that will have a lot of components. So all this will drive demand. And we are in the right position and market segment, ” he said.
The group specialises in the distribution, manufacturing and provisions of engineering services for inspection, test, measuring, analytical and automated handling equipment.
QES is planning to raise about RM20.47mil from the placement of 10% of its issued share capital or 75.83 million new shares to help the company gear towards this growth.
According to its announcement to Bursa Malaysia, RM8.2mil from the placement exercise will be used for factory expansion, RM5.3mil will go towards its R&D works, while another RM1.5mil will be used to expand its reach in China.
He noted that the ongoing spat between China and the US has a positive spillover effect on the region as China looks to boost its own capabilities in semiconductor.
This could translate to increased demand for equipment makers in the region.

“The final amount we raise will be based on the market price and the market is volatile. But generally, if a company is profitable with the right management and we have a clear direction, I think serious investors will be in for the long haul, ” he said.

Apart from manufacturing semiconductor equipment, Chew said QES has also gone into developing solutions for IR4.0, which would be another area of growth for the company.
“Data has become the new commodity and those who know how to analyse and automate it can be successful.
“So for QES, we have some solutions that target that. It is a lot to do with data collection, automation and data-driven decision making.
“We have to put in the engineering resources, R&D and money to develop them. But I think it will bear fruit because the market is ready.
“I think within the next 12 months, we can come up with a solution which we can start marketing by mid-2021 onwards, ” said Chew.
