Year 2021 SMC's profit already achieve what GIC expecting of IRR12%. Therefore, anytime from now is possible. But, looking at as major shareholder holds 63% Sunway, 69% PA and 70% WB. To benefits all shareholders especially major shareholder himself. The IPO will most likely take place after WB maturity date of 3/10/24 and PA last maturity date of 3/12/25. During an interview by the Edge, SMC CEO did mentioned IPO will likely earlier then the year 2027 which is written in the SPA with GIC. So, not earlier than 2025 Dec and before 2027. So, left only 2026 is most likely year for SMC to IPO.

I go to Pyramid at least twice weekly. Sad to say, I remember only been to Pyramid Aeon less than 3 times. Since Pyramid lease the space base on SqFt or certain % on Revenue which ever higher. I don't think Aeon can contribute good rental to Pyramid. The exit of Aeon is actually good news for Sunreit future DPU growth

Agreement with GIC is listing by October 2027. SMC IPO before October 2027 is the call of Sunway. So, GIC still has to wait. Hahaha. But reported in the Edge on 17/4/23. According to Sunway Healthcare President Datuk Lau Being Long, a new hospital generally takes one to two years to turn profit. But the newly opened SMC Penang in November 2022 had achieved Ebitda positive in January 2023 and expected to achieve Net Profit this year. So, he hinted chances of SMC IPO before 2027 is pretty good as Valuation of Hospitals is base on Ebitda but not Net Profit. Cheers for those who trusted Sunway

SMC profit already meets the target for listing. Very likely it will list before the agreed dateline signed with GIC which is 2027. That means as early as 2025 or latest by 2026 SMC will IPO. The real potential value of Sunway will then unveil when SMC IPO at few time bigger than Sunway Market cap
