Dnex will recover fast, wee jeck seng deputy minister will restart the projects on border road pricing. Buddy controlling Mot too so DNEX ekastam system shld continue on without the govt spending on new systems. Extension to trade & e-declare systems.
Back to 30sen in no time and I hope there is news that ping is sold before the crash occurred. They had bid calls in q4'19.

Buy hexza and keep for nx few months. High dividend yield, net cash, cash and liquid investments almost rm162m of cash and investments which translates to rm80sen per share. Ethyl alcohol biz booming due to hand sanitizers. They own chem industries msia with 9m liters capability
2020-03-05 16:56 | Report Abuse
Ethyl alcohol prices moved up again... Small 1 liter bottles selling up to rm31. Some dealers are running out of stocks.
I hope hexza can run maximum capacity and capitalize on the demand. It should remain very high for the better part of the year. Maybe they shld just produce hand sanitizers and maximizer revenue stream during this time.

I keep asking abt ping petroleum sale as in 2017 when dnex / ping signed a jv with summit, the shares spiked to rm60sen.
https://summiteandp.com/assets/p2006-avalon-field/
Many might not knw that besides anasuria, late this year, avalon field is expected to start production. This would essentially double the output for ping, value and profits for dnex.
Oil price is depressed now but with recovery in3 to 6 mths, I trust dnex would be back in the limelight.
Son might be a good bet too.

Price increased:
the surge in demand for ethanol had driven up prices by up to four times.
“The prices started going up about two to three weeks back from RM4.50 a litre to close to RM18.
Demand spiked:
The effects of the demand surge for sanitising products have also rippled further upstream.
At the ethanol manufacturing end, Chemical Industries Malaya Sdn Bhd (CIM) said the jump in its sales figures was “quite substantial”.
“We have seen a huge increase in orders since the start of February from all our customers, especially those involved in sanitisers and disinfectants,” said Mr Aureole Foong, the CEO of Hexza Corporation, CIM’s parent holding company.
“Sales in just the first week of February have already exceeded our monthly average over the past few months,” he added.
According to Hexza’s website, CIM’s annual production of ethanol and related alcohol products stands at 9 million litres, with 70 per cent of output going to the local market.
While strongest demand still came from local customers, CIM has also received overseas requests during this crucial period, Mr Foong said.
Sell out all 9m liters at a profit of RM5 per liter, that's rm45m ppl
This year gonna be super duper for hexza

Few reasons why TDM is a counter to hold
1. Disposal of their loss making indo plantations
2. Diversified business where healthcare biz will contribute rm12m to 14m to the bottom line
3. Key focus in msia and crops which are entering their prime
4. Rationalising their debt with the payment received from indo sale
5. While demand is low currently due the corona virus outbreak, production of palm oil which is the cheaper alternative now will suddenly surge once the outbreak is contained and all countries start building up their stock piles. The stock is pretty stable at this levels but potential to spike 2 to 3x to even rm60sen is very high in the next 3 qtrs.
6. You are not just buying into future PE, it's asset backed.
In the short term avg might be 26 to 28 sen with a high of 32sen and low of 23sen.
Don't forget if TDM proceeds to buy TH plantation assets their mill utilisation will spike and cost per ton reduce due to better leverage and supply chain optimisation

Fantastic QR, finally both health are and msian plantation segments profitable. Best yet they obtained a usd50m offer for the indo plantations and with our great fx rate should be able to net rm215m to pare down debts. No wonder tengku keeps buying the shares. Next QR min 20m profit or more... Share shld move back to 30sen and break the highs once cpo prices starts moving back. Demand for CPO can't be culled due to the deep rooted linkage to f&b products and consumables. The bio diesel offset mops up a smaller % and could cap prices around the 2,800rm/ton range which is good enough.

Balance sheet intact, in fact NTA is now at RM 0.27. Cash is at a healthy level. Value is still there with ping, RM vs usd is weaker so any foreign income would translate to better local gains.

Pretty quiet abt ping petroleum. Sold? To be sold?... Mystery..
2020-02-17 23:33 | Report Abuse
There is some mystery to this counter. While buying is low on que, the real buyer seems to wait for volume to buy up. A buy in of 2 to 3m shares can push the price up more than. 10%. This means most sellers are waiting and confident for a 1.20 to 1.40 rebound.

The returns on their investment is fantastic with the tech rally plus the business is booming and will continue to support a super high utilisation of their ethyl alcohol biz. They supposed to hire a new CEO for the company as I understand. Sometimes it's better that the company is run by professionals than fighting partners and shareholders. After all once the sale of ping is completed, the forward looking biz segments should sail through steered by a new captain

If CP grp buys in, it'll make complete sense. Combine maru cafe and their CP ready to eat products you see in Thai 7-11. Plus with if they win the Tesco bid, automatically add 600plus outlets to the chain. CP can introduce further innovation to the segment with 24hr delivery of groceries even.. 1.50 soon... Fly fly

CPO futures to trend higher next week
TheStar Sat, Jan 11, 2020 11:46am - 26 minutes ago
KUALA LUMPUR: The crude palm oil (CPO) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives is expected to trend higher next week on better demand following last-minute buying from the Chinese market ahead of Chinese New Year.
Singapore-based Palm Oil Analytics owner and co-founder Dr Sathia Varqa said exports to the country will drive higher supply in the near term.
"China needs to buy the crop at least next week because it usually takes 10 to 12 days for the commodity to arrive in the country before Chinese New Year on Jan 25, ” he told Bernama.
Furthermore, Sathia said the market sentiment was also supported by the finalisation of the phase one trade deal between the US and China expected to be signed soon.
"Supportive external event of US-China trade deal next week will give a positive momentum to CPO prices, ” he said.
For the week just ended, the market was mixed on weaker production as well as the reinstatement of the CPO export tax on Jan 1 and restriction on imports of refined palm oil and palm olein by India.
On a Friday-to-Friday basis, the CPO futures contract for January 2020 rose RM21 to RM3,131 per tonne, February 2020 expanded RM19 to RM3,145, March 2020 increased RM18 to RM3,134 and April 2020 added RM12 to RM3,110 per tonne.
Weekly turnover increased to 288,983 lots from 164,912 lots in the previous week, while open interest rose to 279,059 contracts versus 267,359 contracts.
On the physical market, the CPO price for January South gained RM20 to RM3,140 per tonne. - Bernama
