kyosan, any structured warrant is designed to provide the issuer with the advantage. The law itself says, the issuer has to Market Make. What does that mean? Ensure that the issuer does not lose money?

Besides, the issuer gets paid for the warrants. That means the public pay an issuer money to ensure that they do NOT make money ? Incredible.

Kenny, if you bought them at low premiums, I think you should. If you paid a high premium and can sell at a profit, you should.

MoneyMakers, There's any sense in trying to justify the IB's position.

It's just not acceptable that only the common investors are dis-advantaged all the time.

1. IB's are allowed Permitted Short Selling
2. IB's don't have to report Market Making activity
3. IB's can SELL warrants for a price to common shareholders and sell down or sell up at will, without any form of regulatory control

The regulators are meant to ensure information is sufficiently passed onto investors inorder for them to make informed decisions.

The IB's are not investors by any yardstick, They are the issuers of warrants, means they become the promoter. Fund raiser. In effect all of this makes it insider trading.

Where is the justice in this ?

I don't think its the Market Cap that is the issue here. The Warrant VWAP starts on 9th. If it goes up too high it will be difficult for them to bring it down low enough to average the losses. So, they scalp the crumbs and keep it within striking range. Clever? We helped them.
