If taken in isolation of say a month or even one quarter, the justification could be co-incidence. But, tell me one thing. If this co-incidence happens over several quarters and across several Investment Banks, then ????

Agjl, Agree with you. I also think the analysts reports need to be read very carefully. It's very evident that they have vested interests. They all agree on the fact that Earnings are going to increase substantially nut at the same time talk about a time horizon that they themselves never spoke about in the past. Why is that I wonder?

There is no doubt in my mind that funds outside of the purview and influence of these will see value in this industry that is showing visible Earnings growth. After all, these warrant issuers are not the only funds in the world. There are bigger funds around. Besides, all funds need to produce returns.

Where else can they get those returns? Consistently ?

What hurts the most is the conduct of these IB's are hurting the retail investors, for no fault of theirs. The IB's have no right to determine the life of the retail investors.

I have a question we should all be asking to the Regulators.

Macquaire has already announced to Bursa sometime back, that they were unable to 'Market Make' for the C67 Warrants issued by them.

What happens now?
Possible scenarios that need answers :
Do the holders get paid?
Macquaire claims insolvency on the Warrant C77 ?
For some magical reason the price of Top Glove crashes to below the Exercise price and the warrant becomes 'Out of Money'?

I just think the Malaysian market is too small for a Complex Derivative unless its regulated in a manner that Issuer's & Investors have equal risk and the conduct is Transparent and consistently disclosed.

For the warrants already issued. The Issuer's should come up with an immediate and open plan to buy it back, without loss to the holder. That way everyone gains.

The prices of the TG share needs to be below the Exercise price for Put Warrants. All Structured Warrants are complex instruments, otherwise called CFD's. "Contract For Difference".

The data shows that on average 70 to 75% retail investors lose money on CFD's. Think before you buy.
