To me 19th is date when management shud have suspended the counter. A material development has occurred. I.e they did not reach targeted depth hence drilling is a bust hence no oil

What I believe is fair for investor to question is why management does not feel it right to suspend the counter on 19th when they suspended drilling?

At that point they know since they have not even reached targeted drilling depth they are not going to find oil the oil the are looking for

It is a material development enough to me for the counter to be suspended at that point then during suspension u go la evaluate data ask for Oman regulatory approval of the result etc etc

Please also bear in mind should they find oil more and more rcps is on the way for capex purposes and the dilutive effect it will have

There are various tiers of E&P oil and gas co.

In general ( not definitive list)

U have the majors Shell Exxon BP Chevron Total etc

Then next u have the Hess BG Anardako etc

Then u have the Murphy Lundin

So many tiers in terms of capability experience and financial power

Obviously Hibiscus very near the bottom tier. Even then there lots of co like Hibiscus trying to get their 1st oil strike in the world

What I am trying to say is that all the Hisbiscus like co can only fight over oild field that the rest are not interested in. Either reserve too ciput or potential to find/extract very low.

U need to to treat Hibiscus like a start up/VC co which means probability of failure is very high

What is your risk appetite? For the angel investors they got in during IPO at low cost and for that price they felt the risk is worthwhile even if co went bust or they can wait. Even if price goes down to RM1, their initial investment has still doubled

For all the late comers, assess your risk appetite accordingly and tepuk dada Tanya selera if u wanna sell what u have, hold or even add some more
