Not good timing to share buyback yet even at 1.23 in view of the evolving nCoV and it’s impact on global economy/growth. Risk aversion and Cash Is King approach except for sectors specifically benefitting from the nCoV pandemic.

Of course, Uncle KYY being a Value Investor would have already initiated buying in and building a position albeit in a non aggressive manner as current market conditions and uncertainties can still warrant accumulation at reasonable prices without spiking the price up steeply. Any correction can easily shake out the weak holders due to the Fear and Emotional factors coupled with weak cash flow after CNY and prevailing economic environment.

That’s the main reason that I predicted the wrong bottom @ 16 and have been averaging down but average cost is still higher than the current price of 11.78. However, I am confident that the “Vaccine” (“Cash” -averaging down) will work in due course.

Evidences are overwhelming that this outbreak is serious and we are on the verge of global pandemic. Shareholders of glove sector (Outperform) are certainly in a comfortable position despite the equities upheavals and those that bought early at the onset of the 2019-nCoV or last week will have the first mover advantage.

Fatalities already exceeded 360 and daily numbers in terms of infections and fatalities have yet to abate and peak. Countries with fragile health system in the African continent (except South Africa) will have difficulty detecting, testing and containing 2019-nCoV. We are fortunate that Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand are containing 2019-nCoV well and able to prevent community spread. Everyone should pray hard for 2019-nCoV to be resolved soon.

As the Tri-Vaccine will eventually win the battle against 2019-nCoV pandemic, of course, AA will survive too but 2020-nAAv will need the help of even stronger Vaccine such as Captain America, Thor, Ant Man, Spider-Man etc. Facts are facts ... no two ways about it. 2019 is The Best Year For AA as 2020 is going to be The Worst Year For AA.

It will drop as there can be lots of cancellations and claim for refunds on travel insurance policies. PHEIC declaration is strong case for force majeure. No Airlines will let passengers board the flight with the slightest hint of temperatures or flu under present circumstances. Volume of travelling and travel insurance demand will dip significantly in view of 2019-nCoV. In addition, parent Company AA shocking negative news today is not going to help matters.

Hopefully, we can all catch the bottom soon and earn from a V shape recovery once 2019-nCoV pandemic duly resolved. Deo Volente.
