If we compared Q3 report vs Q2, in Q2 it pointed out the shortage of foreign labor in construction industry temporarily affect domestic demand, and that problem was eased off in 3Q2017, so mean they started to see local demand pick up in Q3.
In both Q2 and Q3 the reports did mention about export, and stressed on the ASEAN market. I believed we will see some contributions from export in next quarter (i read on Leo's input more exports will be happened in Q4). That will be new arena for Annjoo as Malaysia steel price is much cheaper than China/International peers thus having good advantage over their competitors. Previously ASEAN countries mostly get steel from China, KR, and they will have to source for cheaper alternative nowadays.

And don't forget, Annjoo pays raw materials in USD (mostly import), and 99% of their revenue come from local market (RM). Strong RM will significantly improve its bottom line in coming quarters.

Share price always look forward not backward. Annjoo's result is superb, look at the raw materials, iron ore & scrap metal increase 30-40%, coke more than 40% from May to Sep, ave selling price increase ~15% during this period.
In Q4, raw materials start dropping since Sep, settle down at current price which is about 15-30% from their peak, but ave selling price is keeping at high >2370, international steel price will catch up slowly following the pace in China (SH current price increased from RMB 4000 to >RMB4300 in last 2wks). Local demand still keep at same level as Q2, from Annjoo's report and top/bottom line calculation can easily see that.
And more important, from all 3 steel manufacturers' report (Annjoo, Masteel, Lion), they are optimistic over the DEMAND in coming quarters. This simply mean they have started to see strong demand roll in in Q4, which align with the timing of major construction projects announced lately. Construction players will more likely to secure the materials at current RM2300-2400 level rather than RM2700 later, so foresee the steel price will move up further towards end of the year.

Annjoo most likely will be the first to announce quarterly result, and should be by this week (more accurately is tomorrow, 21-Nov). The result will be superb, and this is going to create the wave, so the peers can follow.

As value investor, the most difficult part is learn how to be patient. Fundamental and technical analysis are very simple, everyone can be master in it, but the real investor who can make money are those looking beyond that and able to control yourself no matter in any circumstances.

I don't even bother to check the share price everyday, the quarter result for sure will be good, prospect is clear, China steel price is not going to crash. In fact sourthern China steel price is very firm, market demand is high, market inventory is low, steel manufacturers are keeping price at above 4000-4100 RMB. For those who want to sell fast fast do so, the big crocodile waiting for shares on your hand for so long dy, fast fast sell so they can buy more before the result is out.

Investing in good stocks make you sleep peacefully every night, don't let go easily. Don't chase those "hot stocks" without fundamental support, you are basically gambling and not investing. And like any other gambling, you can win 10 times but if you lose one it will kill you. Sigh, nobody give me these advices when I am young.

You first really need to understand the macroeconomic, understand the story behind QE and QT before digesting the news. Media headlines always wan to catch people eyeball, but that's not helping you when come to value investing. In this world the only major economic started QT is US, but look at the pace, it is very very slow and now experts are split in view whether or not QT should be continued next year. EU, JP are not even entering QT yet. Draghi is dove person, his plan is to extending the QE as much as possible (barring pressure from Germany), JP top focus is to boost inflation, no plan doing any QT. So the hot money in the market will only increase.

Pity to those panic selling today, learn from your mistake. I gone through that many years ago, all these bloody painful experiences I have gone through make me stronger today. I have seen this kind of damn bloody wash plate trick many many times already, especially when the company is doing good and financial results are pretty good. Big crocodile wanna wash out weak players before next surge, see how they manipulate price movement, classic.

KLCI down 5% from top, still up 5% year to date? Fear wat? Market going to crash? US, HK, China market PE so high people also not worry, why? Because of QE. You know how much hot money in market no where to invest?

I made the same BUY call during mid Oct when share price dropped to 3.60, I mentioned every correction is good time to buy. If you are real investor and wanna make money, listen to my advice. Don't think of make 10, 20 cents profit and run, you will miss the big surge at later stage. Life is easy, why get yourself suffer in chasing high and low? As I said before, valuable stock will end up moving to north, don't need to worry so much on daily fluctuation, things are moving to the right direction so far. Look at the cost, look at the prospect, business will only be good towards this year end and next year. Raw materials cost is dropping, selling price getting higher and that's mean better profit margin. Big construction projects in the pipeline in next 3-4yrs, plus the export market, all these forming a good growth prospect for steel industry. I don't see any reason for selling, unless you are just gambler simply buy and sell according to chart.

Now is the moment to differentiate who can make money in stock market and who is not. Those never put in efforts, never understand the fundamental value of this stock will get washed out easily by simply looking on technical. I don't feel sympathy, there is a chance here for people to grab, but because of weakness within yourself you end selling a valuable stock. Look back my comment in 2wks time and you will understand what I am talking.

I told you the surge will be higher, if you believe you hold it, if not just sell, your decision won't make any difference to this game. If you really wanna earn big money, study study and study as much as you can about the company you are buying like you really own the business. After that everything will move according to the direction you predicted, small correction or fluctuation along the way give you opportunity to buy in again. You don't even need to panic when correction come, you are happy coz weak players flushed out and the share price will move up again. There is no stock keep moving up without any correction, from the time you buy, till the time you sell, the end result is your ultimate gain. Anything along the way just paper gain/loss, nothing to worry.

If I tell you the ultimate target price you will be laughing, especially in recent downtrend. I can tell you I have been following this counter since one year ago, even at 2.50 I am still buying, next wave can easily surpass 3.20, 3.50, but I can tell you that's not the ultimate target price. People is concern about the share price surge so much, have you been in counter surging 400-1000% before? I am here to earn big money, sorry those 10-20% are not my cup of tea, and I only focus on max 5 counters for one country at the same time. antidebt, today China steel future bounce back nearly 2% why don't you also do an update? Bear market is refer to 20% correction from the top, China steel market current price retreated ~6% from peak, is consider healthy correction and foresee will move north again as winter is coming, plus normally in Q1 there will be a boost in demand that will keep the steel price stable or moving higher. We are FAR from "BEAR" market do you know? Don't simply misleading people without any basic understanding.

Here is not even consider other complicated operations like hedging to protect the company profit. I think steel company management is smarter than me and know what tool to use if they see market fluctuation is getting bigger, this is the basic knowledge they should have to maintain the profitability of the company especially in steel bull market like now.

Of course the raise in selling price can offset most of the production cost. Raw materials can increase or decrease in short time, but raw materials is not the only element in production cost, mostly contribute 30-40% of overall cost. The rest are mostly fixed cost and won't fluctuate a lot. So imagine your selling price increase 10%, your raw materials increase 15%, in overall the company still earn more simply because top line improvement. Basic cost calculation can easily illustrate the model.

Yalar, better go below 2 so that I can sapu more. China steel market price retreated a bit but still around RMB4000, this is healthy 6-8% correction consider steel price up 30% since beginning of this year. If you understood China future well, you will know in China market price is not following future, but is the other way round. 7% one day can bounce back lar, super fluctuated China commodities market limit up or limit down is small piece of cake lar, nobody really care unless you are one of the gambler inside that market.

Ppl sell I buy. How ridiculous people reaction to some news while basically there is nothing change in the outlook and profitability of the company. That's why only small portion of ppl can make money in stock market.

Southern steel and Annjoo are the two long steel companies already started dividen payout, if you study the history, this counter paid generous dividends in the past. Don't forget who is the major shareholder of this counter who holding >70% shares.

I really like ppl panic selling so I have chance to buy at lower price. The fundamental is not change, the future is not alter a lot since beginning of this year. There is no reason why selling it now at cheap price while the huge profitability is foreseeable at near/mid term. Q3 will be superb, Q4 even surprising
