Maklum balas Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia terhadap laporan Berita Harian bertajuk “Mestron edar vaksin COVID-19 dari China” pada 29 Januari 2021. Artikel ini telah dimuatnaik di portal Berita Harian pada jam 4.34 petang, hari yang sama.

Dalam artikel tersebut tertulis frasa ini “ syarikat itu sudah menerima surat kebenaran daripada Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) “.

Sebenarnya, KKM tidak pernah mengeluarkan apa-apa kelulusan atau surat kebenaran kepada swasta atau pihak lain untuk membeli atau mengedar vaksin COVID-19 di Malaysia.

Setakat ini hanya KKM sahaja diberi peruntukan kuasa untuk mengurus akses dan membeli vaksin COVID-19, selaras dengan tugas KKM menguatkuasakan hal ehwal perubatan menerusi agensinya NPRA dan NCD.

Pihak KKM berharap kesalahan laporan dalam artikel tersebut dapat diperbetulkan demi mengelak kekeliruan dan sebarang manipulasi lain oleh pihak tidak bertanggungjawab.

3.3 Definitive Agreement
