Serbia has second fastest COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Europe thanks to China

Belgrade is importing the Sinopharm vaccine which has also been approved in the United Arab Emirates. Phase three testing rates its efficacy at between 79-86% according to interim results.

The purchase has delivered to the Serbian population the second fastest rollout in Europe at 4.6 doses per one hundred people – just behind the United Kingdom but ahead of the EU’s largest nations.

welp .. just got an info from Kanger director Mr Joseph Wu. Someone emailed him using email address from Kanger website asking about the vaccine. This is his response : "We are currently still waiting for allocation from China and hopefully we'll able to get it at soonest. Regarding the shareprice is our beyond control and we are not capable and allow to manipulate the market". READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. I got it from a trustworthy group but I'm not going to believe it 100%.

China’s Sinopharm, Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines assessed by WHO for emergency use WHO reviews two Chinese vaccines for ‘emergency use listing’ status, which could expedite their approval by countries’ regulators

It has received trial data from the companies and a decision could be made by March at the earliest

Coronavirus vaccines developed by Chinese firms Sinovac and Sinopharm are being reviewed for emergency use by the World Health Organization, potentially opening the door to their increased international acceptance.

The WHO’s advisory group makes recommendations about whether, how and for whom vaccines should be used. Its “emergency use listing” procedure allows unlicensed vaccines and treatments to be assessed to potentially expedite their approval by individual countries or jurisdictions in public health emergencies.

A decision on the Chinese vaccines was not expected until March at the earliest, the agency said.

A team sent to China to evaluate the firms’ manufacturing facilities was still in quarantine, she said.
“Submission of the data is the critical component,” she said. “We can’t, of course, undertake any policy recommendation without having full access to the data.”

Vaccines which are proven to be safe and effective can be considered for Covax, the WHO-led initiative for fair distribution of inoculations, according to Seth Berkley, chief executive of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance – the public-private global partnership that co-leads Covax.

WHO evaluates two Chinese vaccines for emergency use

The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday that it's evaluating data submitted by China's Sinovac and Sinopharm on their COVID-19 vaccines for emergency use.

The WHO commends China for submitting the data of two vaccines developed using the inactivated virus for its Emergency Use Listing procedure, said Katherine O'Brien, director of WHO's Department of Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals.

The WHO is also looking forward to reviewing the data through its policy process, O'Brien added. It will be carried out separately by the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization, which makes recommendations on how to use the vaccines.

The Sinopharm vaccine is in the process of assessment, according to the latest WHO files. Sinovac submitted its vaccine data in mid-January and is expected to submit more dossiers by the end of this month. Final assessments of the two vaccines are expected as early as March.

Coronavirus: China National Biotec Group vouches for its vaccine against mutant strains spreading overseas

Along with foreign vaccine developers, CNBG assures that its vaccine will protect against new Covid-19 variants

Chinese CDC researcher says scientists are prepared for mutations and could modify an inactivated vaccine within two months

A Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine is effective against coronavirus variants, including the mutated strain found in Britain, the chairman of China National Biotec Group has told state media Xinhua after vaccine developers Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna also said their jabs worked against new variants.
“Data we have collected so far shows antibodies produced by our inactivated vaccines can cover all viruses isolated from different parts of the world,” said Yang Xiaoming, who is chairman of the state-owned Sinopharm subsidiary as well as the chief scientist of the vaccine project.

Covid vaccine UAE: Sinopharm jab offers immunity for 9 months, says expert

“At Sinopharm, data shows that immunity can last for up to nine months and one year, so far. But we have to follow up on people in order to understand how long the immunity will last.”

On a promising note, Dr Zaher added: “Immunity is lasting for as long as we have followed the patient.”

Hungary reaches deal to buy China's Sinopharm vaccine, PM aide says

Hungary's government said on Thursday it has reached a deal with China's Sinopharm to buy its coronavirus vaccine, a move making Hungary the first European Union (EU) country to accept a Chinese vaccine.

Under the EU rules, it would have to give an ultra-fast emergency use approval, rather than waiting for the European drug regulator to give the go-ahead for the Chinese vaccine.

Three Chinese vaccine manufacturers have applied for the global COVAX initiative led by the World Health Organization (WHO), authorities said on Wednesday.

Sinovac, Sinopharm, and CanSinoBio have submitted applications to join the initiative that aims to provide COVID-19 vaccines to poor countries, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told a news conference, according to daily Global Times.

“Chinese COVID-19 vaccine producers are in close communication with the WHO on application of pre-qualification for emergency use listing,” she added.

Iraq on Tuesday approved the emergency use of China's Sinopharm and British AstraZeneca vaccines to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Iraqi Ministry of Health said in a brief statement that the Iraqi National Board for Selection of Drugs (NBSD) approved the emergency use of the two vaccines.

Iraqi Ministry of Health spokesman Sayf al-Badr told Xinhua that the Chinese vaccine, developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm), "conforms to the NBSD standards, and therefore the Iraqi state approved it for use inside Iraq."

A COVID-19 vaccine developed by China National Biotec Group (CNBG), a Sinopharm subsidiary, is hopeful to be approved in China for use in children and adolescents before March, state media reported late on Friday.

“Based on clinical data we have obtained and regulatory procedures we are filing to National Medical Products Administration, [the vaccine use] could be expanded to these aged between three and 17 before March,” CNBG chairman Yang Xiaoming told state TV in an interview, without elaborating on the data.
