Stop dreaming, they wont do it to the sons. Why they buy back and distribute the shares? Answer is to increase their shareholding without spending any single cent of their own. They use YTL money to increase their shareholding through shares buy back&distribute back to the shareholders, and later on buy back at the open market again and cancel the purchased shares.Repeatedly doing like this will reduce the supply in the market... They wont do it for YTLL, YTLP, YTLE because they DON"T NEED to do it. They just need to control YTL to take over them...

Alright, sell it. Why do you still keep it? The company keeps on buying back its share at the range 1.3x-1.4x. Do you have any idea why? Obviously its for 2 reasons
1. DRS purpose
2. Probably to reduce the availability of shares in the market, thus make it easier to be pushed higher later on.
Im not sure im right or wrong, But there is a statement by YTL, Francis which i think worth to remember " When you see a company keeps on buying back its own share, you can predict that something has been planning behind it". Maybe im wrong and maybe you are right, so a sell for you, and a hold for me until it reaches my Price....

I guess Rm1.6x will not be a problem. Obviously the management encourage us to choose DRS, so i guess they will offer maximum 10%, so lets say if the price is Rm1.70. 10%= 17 cents, but dividend is only 10cents. And when the share price is high the shareholder will feel worth to choose DRS than Dividend isnt it? Simple, DRS will probably increase the supply of shares so once its paid, the share price will have a certain effect. If the share price doesnt go to certain high, i dont think much of us will choose DRS...

Mat, wrong. If the company has a strong man like Najib son. The company capable of getting more projects especially goverment projects. thus turning it from -ve profit to +ve figure is posibble. Share market in malaysia cant run away from politic. And Goverment spending is the revenue for most companies in malaysia. Thats why top 10 companies in malaysia were dominated by GLC- 7 from 10 if no mistake.
