At 65, I hope to be playing mahjong every week day rather than monitoring the stock market.

Presently I haven't touched a single sen from my EPF and PRS. The market value of my investment in the stock market currently stands in excess of RM250,000. And the cash with my broker, my FD amount to another ....... shhhh, I am not telling.

The ASEAN financial crisis somehow benefited me because property price crashed and I was able to buy my condominium below market price.

I think MrSslee started investing late.

When I am 70 or maybe earlier at 65 I want to be totally out of the stock market.

I have a contrarian approach of investing. I buy undervalued stocks when no one wants, when prices spike up, I watch and when people including the so-called masters/sifus get excited, I sell off.

In January this year I sold 4 counters : Kuchai, Sg Bagan, Affin and Insas, gaining over RM100,000 and the bulk of the sales proceeds are still held as cash.

Over the years, over 2 decades, I have swam with the sharks and got the better of them, and this gives me confidence how to take them on and win.

Smart investors collected Insas at 80 sen and sold at RM1.25.

What's the point of buying Insas at RM1.25, hoping to sell at RM2.00 ?

Each undervalued stock that we might invest in will spike at different time, we must already have these stocks before price spike.

There are other undervalued stocks, we need to spread our investment, entering at the appropriate price.

Thong is big taukeh he already millionaire, maybe billionaire, he will eventually privatize Insas cheaply.

A couple of years ago from time to time MAA did some share buy back, hopefully they will resume doing so now that there's cash in the bank.

Must know when to exit the stock market, you can't hold a share for too long.

Long ago before the privatization attempt MAA paid generous regular dividend plus occasional big special dividend. Things turn sore after the failed privatisation.

Probably will be at a lower offer price.

I dare to risk my whole savings of RM60,000 in the 1990s.

Some people are born rich and they already have a few hundred thousand ringgits to start investing. My seed money investing in the 1990s was merely RM60,000 , my whole savings.

When I am 70 I will be totally out of the stock market. Until then I will torment Leno, 60 ringgit coming.

Today I invest in the stock market for pocket money only.

I invest in the stock market with an objective in mind, way back in 1990s, my goal was to make enough to buy a home and I did so by year 2000.

Today that condominium has a market price of RM600,000.

Used my RM100,000 gain to pay partially for a condominium with a nice sea view.

If I remember clearly the Second Board super rally was only about 4 months as I cashed out in April that year made a gain of over RM100,000.

I survived the crash of 1994 and went on to make loads in the Second Board super rally in 2000.

In 1993 I was in my 20s and was in the stock market for the first time.

There will never be another super bull run like in 1993.

1993 super bull run already saw action in the stock market.

@Cipta, ultimately MAA will be privatized but no one knows when. In the meantime minority shareholders continue to be punished by not getting any dividend.

@speakup, I not yet 60 lah. MORE THAN ten years to go before 70 lah.

April coming to an end and still Sarawak has not been given approval to increase their stake in Affin.

When I am 70 I hope to sell off my gold and silver coins.

Ya, hard for bank stocks to move up without foreign funds buying.

When I am 70 hopefully Insas will be 60 ringgit.

When I am 70 I wouldn't be in the stock market anymore. Still got over 10 years to go.

If 70 years old, don't speculate in the stock market.

Affin is consolidating too long, there's no clear direction going up or going down.

I don't think MAA will declare any dividend as punishment to the minority shareholders for opposing the major shareholders attempt to privatize it at 1.10.

I am not a MAA share promoter, I merely like MAA better than Insas at this moment.

I have planned to start buying back Insas next month but MAA now looking more of a better prospect. Insas can wait, MAA on Monday.

Left without selling? All trapped!

On the first trading day in January Kuchai went limit up and I sold off all at 1.62 netting over 30% gain, used the proceeds to buy 100,000 MAA shares at 34 to 35 sen.

Bought more MAA @ 38.5c, going above 10,000 shrs for the 1st time since 2012!

Ten thousand shares? Yesterday I sold 24,000 shares , still have balance 97,100 shares.

Dripped more $ into MAA @ the 44.5c close...🤗 Pity those who chased @ 60c or higher & had to CUT, but if they chose to hold, they would be guaranteed to make $ within the next year at the very latest
