Bagi keputusan kewangan AirAsia X yang menyaksikan keuntungan sebelum cukainya yang semakin meningkat, Fernandes dalam tweetnya berkata, 'suku akhir (tahun ini) yang buru'.

“AirAsia X model hebat. Muatan baik. Hasil meningkat. Kapasiti turun. Sangat bernilai tinggi. Kini murah,” katanya.

Keuntungan sebelum cukai syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah jarak jauh itu meningkat daripada RM162 juta pada suku kedua berakhir 30 Jun, 2015 berbanding RM132.3 juta tahun lepas.

Hasil sebanyak RM653 juta, turun tiga peratus daripada RM672 juta pada suku yang sama tahun lepas.

Dalam makluman kepada Bursa Malaysia kelmarin, syarikat itu berkata, pengurangan hasil penerbangan berjadual berpunca daripada faktor muatan yang rendah selepas aktiviti pemasaran dihentikan, penularan wabak sindrom pernafasan Asia Barat (MERS) dan Korea Selatan dan bencana gempa bumi di Kathmandu. - Bernama
