anson938, Thank you for posting. The proposed capital reduction is to clean up the balance sheet by removing the accumulated losses and it has no impact on share price. The PP and ICPS (ICPS at 5 sen is pretty small) is to fund the business expansion/diversification and this is surely good for the company in the long run (just like IPO raising funds for business expansion). It seems to be a positive corporate exercise.

Careful...the proposed takeover is conditional. If the acquisition does not reach 50%, AT can call off the deal and Asdion share price will fall back to the previous level. dont be greedy and get burn.

They have reported 2 consecutive quarters of profits and if the coming QR to be announced this month is going to show another set of consistent profit, the turnaround is then intake and ready for upward movement in share prices to their more reasonable level. The current level is still undervalued in my opinion. My 2 sen view.

With the continuing injection of cash into the company by macquarie (via the PP), the company is now in net cash position (no bank borrowings). Will be interesting to see what the company is goign to do with the cash - business expansion or pay us dividend?

Think people are concern about the proposed diversification into something new and that they may not have the expertise. Acquisition cost at 138mil is high whereas they only pay us peanut dividend. Maybe better to stick to their core business.

The latest QR released last night is pretty good considering the current economic condition and MCO. Generally the financials are sound and one thing stand out is the building up of cash from the operations as well as from PP and ESOS. At least no financial issues the company has to face as least in the short term. I think the share price has bottomed out and can only go north from here now.

Latest results very good and Bawang's statement so positive...but share price not moving. Need Bawang to walk the talk and eat up all the sellers !!

Maybe QR going to give some positive results. Last quarter incurred losses of RM10.6m. Can this quarter be worse or show lower losses or a turnaround? Lets hope it is a turnaround and lets hope they get new contracts from Petronas given the higher oil prices and the more bullish stand by Petronas. Then share prices can move higher.
