No need to reinvent, just convert MAS to budget Airline with better free facilities than Airasia then it will survive. Air transportation is moving towards mass market and lesser frills. Sure some people wants to travel first or business class then certain flights can be accommodated to such demand but less frequent, as the future is still affordability. Premium airlines are catering to a smaller section of the Global community.

Yes government wants to help MAS turnaround but due to political reasons it can never get the best option to do that. The second best option is what we have now. Anybody got RM135 millions to mop the shares and push MAS higher? Think about it carefully, only the majority stakeholder ie Khazanah can only be interested to push MAS if the current management can promise Khazanah that the premium liner are able to deliver good cashflow following good financial results in future. Then only you can see accumulation of the share. Of course you will then see EPF following the buying frenzy.

What Zee Moola said in his blog is true. How can you trust the accounts, especially the cash account of CSL. Many believed they are fakes anyway. China companies have many sets of accounts. You won't know which one is true.

If Dow closed down by 300 pts tomorrow, then can MAS sustained its current price? Furthermore as US starts to unwind its QE3, MAS share price will have to content with improve fundamentals towards 2014 and 2015. Right now MAS is a speculative 3 liner share and without fundamentals but people buy in with the hope that the government will support it forever. What if the investor is wrong as the open sky policies may not have space for an inefficient liner. Then another capital reduction exercise will be done in 5 years time or if unsustainable perhaps it will be hive off to an independent buyer after another round of capital reduction.

To make 1 sen per share MAS will have to achieved after tax of 167 mills and at PE of 5 as in Airasia will be 1 bill after tax for MAS. correct me if I am wrong.

Today again reached highest overhanging shares of 400 millions. No accumulation since 7th June.

BJtoto Business trust will be listed in Singapore sometime in August. There will be a cross listing in Malaysia later in the year. About 1 billion RM will be collected from the listing to repay borrowings of RM540 million and pay dividend to share holder of around 40 sen. Post listing Bjtoto will be debt free I suppose and will hold some investment via its Phillipines Gaming Corp, which is a lottery operator and hold investment like Redtone and Bjtoto directly hold some properties in Berjaya TIMES SQUARE. Post listing , according to the management will distribute some or all of the trust units to the shareholders. Post listing earnings will be reduced by 20% but in the long term after the distribution of all the trust units, what will be VT's plan after that nobody knows. Maybe pumped in Berjaya Beijing Great Mall, perhaps then.

More turnover or sales volume does not mean there will be profits every quarter. Confidence or optimism does not translate to a profit, in an inefficient organisation like MAS,
