Surprisingly, Gold did not go lower in the face of Fed tapering. Apparently, hedge funds have positioned well to capitalise on the market turmoils.
Gold has its safe haven appeal when stock markets go down in a panic.
Just an observation. Not a buy or sell call.

I think lots of investors/traders must thank Mr Bernanke for creating the bull markets in the past few years. He will always be remembered in history for his part in the QE efforts, which a lot of emerging markets are now grappling with the after effects from QE tapering.

Humbled, let's hear what parting speech Mr Bernanke is going to give to the market tonight. Stay tuned to CNBC at 2am tomorrow morning.
Ha! Ha! Whether there is going to be a post CNY rally will a lot depend on his parting speech and later, his successor, Ms Janet Yellen, of course not forgetting the efforts of sharks to ride on the positive market sentiments, if any.

Humbled, based on my observation, this counter has not much selling at below 24 sen level. So, it is really up to the shark whether he wants to push it higher(27 sen is a strong resistance area). Even if he decides to do it, it will probably be after CNY and only when the trading environment turns favourable.
Just my views. Trade at our own risks.

Humbled, just stay on the sidelines first to observe. There are still uncertainties in the markets, esp with regard to FED's decisions and emergering markets' currency rout. Anyway, we still have some shares to capitalise on the upside, if it really goes up. Either way, we are protected.
Ha! Ha! Trade at shark's will.

Humbled, good news is it has moved back to the 24 to 26 sen trading range again, subject the further confirmation. Bad news is we may not be able to collect at a much lower price.

Yes, this counter is never meant for the punters. If you really want to punt, please check the top 20 volume counters. But odds are better at casinos than the top 20 volume counters currently.
Ha! Ha! Winning is knowing when to stop(signboard warning statement at a casino).

Sharks are very smart. Yesterday, they painted red(a bigger drop). Today, they painted green(a smaller rise). But if we really compare both, they are still red, offset a little by today's green.

Humbled, I am in no hurry to get in yet. To average down cost, we can do it slowly. Time is on our side.

Mike, to swing in a down market is worse than betting on banker/player in a baccarat hand. Not advisable for me.

So, take a break, unless we want to do swingtrading. Not so many people can move in and out the market so swiftly like you.

Mike, the outcome of the Fed meeting will be out on Thu, around 2.00 am(our time). Much will depend on whether there is any tapering and by how much.
And this is followed by our CNY eve on Thu, half day trading. So, nothing to trade about these few days.

Mike, you make money again. I dare not trade in this weak market. The odds of losing money is worse than the odds of a win at casino.
Anyway, glad to hear that you make money.

How I wish I could bottom fish at 10.5 sen. But I doubt very much.

Wow, so many of you are still actively trading in this weak market? I, for one, have already closed my trading positions for the Malaysian market for the CNY.
PM Corp has slipped below the 24 sen mark today. If this is not reversed in the next few days(based on closing price), the shark could be drawing a downtrend chart to collect, in line with the weak stocks market.
Just my views. Trade at your own risks.

Mike, by investing in SILK, you also endorse Calvin's recommendation weeks ago.
Isn't it a bit late to go in at this price?

Mike,
Wow, you make money again. A lot of working Malaysians really envy you. Your investment income is much more than their salary per year.
Very soon, news media will like to interview you to find out your success story.
Ha! Ha! You have become a new legendary figure in the investment arena!

US markets are in a correction mode on disappointing China PMI and US factory data, ahead of the Fed meeting next week.

Humbled, it is more volatile than share investing. Maybe, just make do with your current share investment first, since you are comfortable with it.
You must be thoroughly familiar with it before venturing into the unknown.

Humbled, be diversified. This is the way forward. Gold can be a hedging instrument in our total portfolio. I think Gold is currently supported by hedge funds, after last year's sharp correction.
Not sure how long the hedge funds will remain in this investment class.

Gold is up again at US $1254.66 an ounce, even on the prospect of a further tapering of assets purchases by US Fed meeting next week.
How amazing! How long this rally on Gold may last is also anybody's guess.

Pls note my earlier posting reply to Swingtrader, was on the subject of XDL, not PM Corp. Hope it clarifies.
2014-01-23 20:56 | Report Abuse
Swingtrader, I was monitoring that too for a rebound.
2 possibilities:
1. A short rebound - But it could be the shark's intention to lure more buyers in and shoot down later;
2. Fall further - 2 days of heavy falls, lots of buyers are trapped at higher prices. So, chances are that the shark may push it down further. Of course, the drop may be less drastic tomorrow.
To go in tomorrow, you need to get in fast and come out fast. Otherwise, the mega share listing, coupled with forced selling, could drive the price lower early next week as few buyers are daring to catch a falling knife.
Just my thoughts. Trade at your own risks.

No bad news for XDL. So, my guess was probably right - the listing of its rights/bonus shares next Monday.

Some people ask me why the shark is so powerful and daring to push it down. I told them there is usually a trigger.
2014-01-23 14:44 | Report Abuse
XDL is now 31.5 sen. All the seemingly strong supports(buy orders of 1000+ shares at 32 to 34 sens) also no use, if shark wants to push it down.
I think a lot of retailors get hurt by the big shark. Sad to say that.

Wow, this stock is getting more interesting.
Suddenly, we have a lot of new voices appearing from nowhere in support of this counter, while some old voices have left us in search of greener pastures.

My trading philosophy:
Like what I said earlier, I always feel safe if I can sense that the shark has more shares to unload at higher prices. In the event of a misjudgement, I have a standby strategy - to average down my holding cost slowly and progressively.
Ha! Ha! This is not a buy call. Trade with a strategy that you feel most comfortable with.

Very interesting to see how shark influences our actions.
If you look at XDL, the buy queues of 1000+ shares at 33 to 34 sen were sold down by shark's action. So, for those who look at the market depth, they can be tricked by the shark too.
Ha! Ha! Never under-estimate the latent power of a shark!

Humbled,
I did not do a closing report as it is still trading within the 24 to 26 sen range. No fresh development yet. Moreover, I do not want to attract contra players here. Otherwise, it will be difficult to detect shark's movement.
My offer to Andygan has lapsed yesterday midnight. No married deal to report. Again, I noticed Andy had deleted his earlier postings on his queries. I think I will not waste time on his queries any more.

Sorry. I have no time to entertain you.

It came up from 21 sen(not 18 sen). I was waiting to buy at below 17 sen, as advised by Mike, but could not even see it go down below 20 sen. Pls check your facts.

That is why I like to play the laggards with fundamentals. No speculative element. 'Pump and dump' method will work best when people are lured in by rumours/unconfirmed truths, with target prices set by the syndicates.

Humbled, there could be some selling(market is weak) and the shark is taking a defensive approach at 24.5/25 sen.
If no play before the CNY, probably got to wait till after the CNY, provided of course, if 24 sen is not broken.
Ha! Ha! Trade at shark's moods.

Hi, guys. Gong Xi Fatt Chai!
It has been trading between 23.5 to 25 sen in the past 10 days. No new development yet since my last report before the CNY. The good news is it has not dropped to the previous low of 21 sen(before the price surge).
It seems to me that the shark is still collecting our abandoned shares at 23.5 to 24.5 sen, for a much-awaited play in say, about 2 weeks' time(if there is good news to cheer).
This is not a buy or sell call. Trade at your own risks.
