Mike,
Just like what I said, it is anybody's guess, until a clearer pattern is established. This is just like betting on banker/player in a casino. Nobody will be able to tell the outcome precisely until the last card is dealt.
The best way to tell is to test the response from the shark, which could provide a more accurate measure. I did not test the market. I do not rule out any possibility. But I do not prejudge at this moment, until the 24 -26 sen trading range is broken.
Ha! Ha! This is not a buy/sell call!

Mike,
Welcome back!
Me, not a captain, just a commentator/analyst. I do see signs of accumulation at 25 sen. Hope I am right.
Nothing is absolute until there is a breakout at 26 sen. So, it is still anybody's guess.
Ha! Ha!

Humbled,
This year, the theme could be on the laggards with good fundamentals.
Last year, Calvin's predictions were off the mark. Who knows his stock picks on laggards could be spot on this year?
Nothing is static. There are usually ups and downs in one's fortune, much like the stock's price cycle!
Be prepared! Those who need his advice on stock picks have to invite him back to this forum thread.
Ha! Ha! Trade at your own risks!

Wow, RCE Capital is touching 30 sen now.

Hi, Qintian,
Yes, this is a good strategy for the prudent. Thanks for your advice.

Calvin,
I went in today to buy RCE Capital as it broke the tight trading range on good volume. Hopefully, it is not a false alarm, created by the shark.
Just for your info.

Hi, Calvin,
One of the stocks that you recommended earlier in this forum, Gromutual Berhad, has gone up. Today, running into a bit of weakness, with resistance at around 52.5 to 55 sen zone.
I have looked at RCE Capital. It is trading within a tight range, on low volume. Will KIV and buy only when there is a breakout in price with good volume.
Thanks.

Today is T+3 and ahead of a public holiday.
No obvious trend yet, it is still trading between 24 to 26 sen. See whether there is any breakout on either side. When shark strikes, it could be an explosive move on either side.
Hopefully, the shark is clearing off the contra trades. Then, we can see better days ahead.

Looking at the trading done today, it seems like the sharks are playing the catch-up game for the laggards.
Counters like RCE Capital and Silk Holdings started to move today, on top of other laggards which have already moved, eg Asian Pac, Gromutual
Berhad.
So, Calvin has foresight in recommending some of the winners earlier. PM Corp may be next to move too. Nobody knows except the sharks. Like what I said earlier, every dog has its day.

Ok, enjoy your flight. But too bad, you will surely miss the price actions tomorrow.

I know Ingenco's past history. Ever since CBL rejected the restricted sale offer, with possibility of a takeover, the price has been on a downtrend(Now, hovering around 9 sen levels)
I do not have insider news. And I do not know if the shark will play up this counter. But I do know that a lot of investors have been trapped in Ingenco, much more than PM Corp(I think).
At least, PM Corp has better fundamental than Ingenco. I would rather invest in PM Corp than Ingenco, given a choice.
The decision is yours to make.

Yes, sell when there is volume. Otherwise, at this price and pathetic volume, getting out is also a problem.
My warning is just a friendly note. No hard feelings. Usually, people like to hear nice words and not harsh reality.
Do what you deem fit and best for you. Good luck!

Mike, look at Ingenco now. After the play by the syndicate to push it up to 11 sen(which gave you a chance to get out), it is hovering around 9 sen levels.
When it is pushed up higher, a lot of people(including the shark) are getting out too.
This trend may only be changed if there is good news to warrant any play at higher prices...

Mike, that is why I said TAFI has no market appeal. If it is played up, the shark as well as other trapped 'long-termed' investors will be quick to get out. Of course, shark may push it higher if punters are keen to participate.

Mike,
Hope your wish is granted. If PM Corp is pushed up in the coming weeks, some of our trapped forumers can be rescued too.
Good luck to you and the forumers here!

Mike,
You seem very confident, despite my repeated warnings. Hope you are right this time.
My warning is just a guide for your reference.

Mike,
Your TAFI has very low trading volume. Furniture stock has no market appeal. The last time the shark tried to push it up, also not successful. If the shark is not playing, then you can be really trapped! Better be more careful with your TAFI.
Good luck! You need plenty of that.

Leslieroycarter,
Sharks appear everywhere in most penny stocks(esp speculative stocks). Not just this counter.
Blue chips are dominated by big boys. They have a different trading mentality.

Glad to hear your reply. Did your dealer tell you the reason to buy PM Corp?
2014-01-12 14:13 | Report Abuse
Over the years, I have learnt to be more skilful and sophisticated. I follow the shark's approach to collect low and sell high, even though I do not have a sizable group of followers/punters.
That is why I carry a disclaimer clause that I do not have the privilege as a shark, in case some of you mistake me as a shark.
Ha! Ha!

Humbled,
It is not difficult for a shark to push up a counter. All it needs is just to push up or trade the counter a few bids up early in the day with good volume and a lot of punters will jump in and do the job for him. Eg, when it crosses 27 sen with good volume, a lot of technical traders will come in too!
Easy right? So, the shark just needs to choose the right timing to do it. Usually, this is done with some good news to be announced or yet to be announced. Sometimes, it can just be rotational play.
Ha! Ha! Stock market is not a layman's game. Trade at your own risks!

It is always a good practice to invest a certain percentage of our portfolio in blue chip stocks and/or mid-cap growth stocks.
And we do not have to rely so much on sharks/followers to push up our counters. All we need is for local funds, like EPF or/and fund managers, to do the job for us.
So, it is always good to diversify, in case sharks may play us out.
Ha! Ha! Be diversified and have a balanced portfolio.

Lim,
You disappeared in this thread for quite a long time. I saw your postings in other threads.
How did you fare? Your dealer started to ask you to look at this counter. Seems like this year could be a year where laggards may take the centrestage.
See whether 25.5 sen can be broken first before we can comment on its potential. Of course, shark may push up to test the response first.
Nothing is absolute. A lot still depend on the market sentiments and theme at play.
Ha! Ha! This is not a buy call and I do not have the privilege to be a shark!

Gold spikes up @ US$1244.80 an ounce on dismal Dec US jobs report. A lot of short-sellers(on bearish predictions) were made to cover their short positions.
Interesting to see how stereotyped thinking can be wrong sometimes.

Mike,
Do not worry. I will see how it goes in the next few days.
Either to reduce some exposure if no good. Or in the worst case scenario, I can do $ cost averaging. I am more concerned about your TAFI. Very low trading volume.

Not a buy call. Just stating facts.
Wow, your tips are very reliable. You seem to have very good sources from the people close to the sharks for those counters that you recommended? Really spot on. Even TA expert also cannot tell exactly.

Hi, AlexanderSingapore,
Today, the counter closed at 25.5 sen(no change from Thursday, still at the upper end of the trading range). It was mainly traded at 25 and 25.5 sen.
At this point, nothing is conclusive yet:
1. Today is Friday and there are 2 more public holidays next week. If this price can be maintained well after T+3, then it should augur well for this counter;
2. Unable to establish clear signs of distribution from the shark until a clearer pattern is formed. I did not personally test the market, so got to rely on inputs from any of you.
Trade at your own risks.
(PS I may not post my report if there is nothing new)

Today, the shark is hiding at a corner to count its catch, before deciding on the next move. Anyway, the waters is sort of murky, low visibility to do any major move.
Things should be clearer in the next few days. If we are lucky, he will do a stunt this afternoon.
Ha! Ha! Trade at your own risks.
(Messi2u, managed to get anything at 25 sen this morning? Care to share?)

Yes, it is good closing at 25.5 sen, considering that it is closed at the upper end of the trading range(24 to 26 sen) today.
Got to see in the next few days if this can be maintained, esp in view of the long weekend and holidays next week.
In every cloud, there is a silver lining. Be prepared and happy.

It is still too early to tell what the shark is up to. Whether it is devouring its preys in shallow water or throwing out its bait to bring you guys to play in a bigger ocean.
Stay tuned and watch the shark's show.

No need to argue, Guys.
It is not what we think the price should be. It is the shark that decides and influences our thinking with the act he does, taking into account the buy/sell factor, market sentiment and the fair value.
Of course, it looks positive on the chart. Let's see the shark's action later.

Andygan,
Take Mike's advice. Exchange your PM Corp for Ingenco and I think CBL may thank you for supporting his shares.
Quick, jump in before it goes up. That is what a lot of punters think and hope. The shark(operator) just loves this type of obedient followers.

Usually, the shark will be tempted to push the stock higher only if:
1. it still has plenty of stocks in hand;
2. the overall trading environment is still positive;
3. there is still demand for the stock;
4. very much undervalued/good news to be announced.
So, please assess if these factors are still there, before you make your buy/sell decisions.
For those with bigger holdings, you may want to take this opportunity to sell your holdings partially(reduce your exposure), so that you can buy back if it goes down in the end.
