Why dropping?

EPF Selling, wonder why? In 2 months time will declare another dividend distribution. Are they afraid of oversupply of office space and reducing yields in the future???

News mentioned that Proton is not paying their vendor. Proton admits they do have some payment issues but debt is manageable. Of course they going say that. Wonder how much is owed by Proton to Multico? Understand Proton trying to to arrange a RM2 billion sukut financing. Hope this comes fast and after this Multico deal with Proton on a cash on delivery basis!

This quarter result should be good as car manufacturer launched new cars and would have ordered parts in advance. Concerned about next quarter based on Sept MAA report that national car sales trend going down especially Proton. Reported in Edge Weekly that Proton Iriz not doing as well as anticipated. Unless, the slow-down in Proton can be picked up by Honda and the new Perodua Axia.

Dividend will be declared upon approval at next AGM on 18th November, 2014. Amount will be RM0.07 per share.

Something has been on my mind for a while:

Why is MULTICO venturing into the Medical field? Wouldn't it be better to concentrate on their core competency and open sales office or manufacturing plant in Thailand or Indonesia to service and expand their sales in the next two automotive power houses?

I bought into this company for the dividends. My concern is that they are moving into new industries that could effect future dividend payouts as there will be a period of learning curve and getting the confidence of patiences on their hospital services. Might be good in the long run but risky in the short/medium term.

Any thoughts on this?

If both MARA and THHEAVY agree that the fair value the counter is 0.80; why do we want to buy at a higher price? I agree with earlier comment that profitability is the key. Anyway, at this price can buy but need to keep for a while. Better put money else where first and when moving than only jump in.

Maybe like last year, with dividend announcement coming soon (next month) so got people buying. Very good yield for holding a few weeks.

I recently put more % of my funds into dividend paying stocks with higher NTA compared to it's stock price. White Horse was 1 of them. The revenue from the last quarter report is the highest it has ever been with a decent EPS that will enable it to continue with the annual dividend payments of 0.10 per share (yield of almost 4.5%). An additional plus it's in annual report of opening of a showroom cum warehouse in Johor, this would be good to serve the rapidly growing Iskandar market. Went into MAA recently after watching for a while. What I liked is the NTA almost twice of current price and started giving dividends. PN17 should be uplifted in a matter of time, doubt if it will be delisted as won't look good for Bursa, especially if trying to get more companies to list.

If need more capital to meet BNM requirement can do a rights issue. I agree with Jetli, need to close about 0.705 to explode and with news of out of PM17, 1.50 easily. Good luck to all.

Slowly will rise to RM1.50. Everyday the support price also going up. Soon another round of dividend which is better than putting money in the bank and loosing value thru inflation. Good luck to all.

Was looking at this company for its dividend yield. Decided not to buy for 2 reasons:
1) CPO prices expected to come down in 2H 2014.
2) Based on 2013 Annual Report, Directors total remuneration/package almost 6 million. I don't think they will drop their remuneration. Rewarding themselves handsomely while having to dispose precious land bank which will be worth a lot more in the near future.

NTA jump because of revaluation of assets. This does not generate cash. So they will not be giving a dividend. As for the bonus issue, there is a possibility but not so soon as need approval. As for the share price, looks like will go up as the construction industry still very strong.

I don't know what is the minimum dividend yield EPF will be looking for from REITS. If we guess that it is 7% than the price will go up to about RM1.50 and if it is 6% than the price can go up to RM1.75. Giving a potential share price appreciation of 5.6% to 23.2% from the current levels. It will be interesting to see how much capital appreciation we can make.

Additionally, I had a concern on the public share holding spread. This now diminishes as EPF has the funds to pick up any additional shares that is released into the the market.

All in all, this is good news.

Dividend has been paid already, money is in the bank.

I am completely out of OpenSys.....but always come back to check on the forum as this counter made me a bit of $$$ & there are many good people commenting here. As for now. OpenSys, like the others have said, is fully valued and no more catalyst. If it drops back to RM0.30, than I will look at it again. My biggest concern is the Directors, they have increased their salary package while not increasing the dividend. Only looking after themselves!

PrudentInvestor, yes the PE is low. As mentioned in an earlier comment, you will have to consider the conversion of the ICULS in determining the PE. With the dividend announcement, I think, more ICUL will be converted to shares. In fact, already happening since they mentioned the dividend. That is why the NTA per share drop even with a profit.

They are doing what they said they will be doing. Dividend first - Done, than next year Bonus Issue. Hold till than and you could make a sizeable return on your investment. Good Luck Everyone.

I am now moving my portfolio to high dividend yield stocks especially REITS. I think the market getting over heated, especially the ACE Market, looking at history, major correction happens after there is so much speculative play.

The margins this quarter took a hit. Might not be a bad thing as could be selling more CRM machines at low margins and getting more service contracts with higher margins in the future. my concern is the rise in administrative expenses. The dividend yield is no longer attractive at the current share price, many other counters out there can give better yields. I feel the share price is currently at the maximum point and there is a risk of going down 10 ~ 20%. This is only my opinion.

agree with you, Rich. I am now moving my portfolio into companies that have good dividend yields record. When everybody start buying in speculative nature, it's time to be careful.

I agree with Chin Aik. After the 0.10 jump on 30th July, over 240 million shares have changed hands. This represents about 32% of the issued shares. (of course there are some contra players). This has set a new base and looks difficult to drop below 0.60. Based on the recent prices, if you can pick up at 0.63 or 0.635 you should be happy. On the other hand, pay a bit more and not risk missing the boat. Your decision and Good luck.

Yesterday drop was due to Sumatec dragging penny stocks down. Anyhow, getting closer to my 0.88 to collect again......but today I watch first, hopefully can pick up lower than 0.88.

Looking at the financials, the NTA per share is RM0.98. At a glance, based on the current stock price, it seems this stock is under-valued. But quarterly making losses except for exceptional items 3 quarters ago and a small profit 2 quarters ago before going back into the red last quarter results. Will be interesting to see the financials coming out this month. If continue to make losses, the NTA will per share will go down and investors got better shares to get into. I will wait for the quarterly report before making a decision.
