This is the highest in Malaysian electoral history, beating the 78.9 percent recorded in 1964.

In a few hours when you vote, remember these:

1) Don't wear political party gear and badges into the voting area

2) Don't bring in any recording device or phones

3) Don't be intimidated by the presence of police and very high number of BN agents-remember­ they're all just paid staff doing their job. Remember, there are more of RAKYAT (US)

4) Don't beat up any Bangladeshis/­Indonesians/­Foreigners

5) Don't give your IC to anyone other than the SPR guys checking your name against the register.

6) Don't respond to any provocation or scare tactics ,just smile and nod when they tell you to vote for them

And most importantly,

7) Don't vote for any logo resembling a measuring device... including calculators,rul­ers... and weighing scales ;)
