Going back to the report, I just realized that almost all, if not all, of SCIB's EPCC contracts are dodgy at best.

Qualified opinion. So it's true then, those cancelled contracts were dodgy.

I can foresee that everything will be blamed on Hafiz, although it still doesn't make much sense on why did he have the balls to do so and most importantly, what did he gain from creating fictitious sales? It's too big of a risk for a person of his position to be doing such a thing all on his own.

If I have to hazard a guess, I'd say Hafiz was pressured to do so by someone of higher authority who has everything to gain for from fictitious sales figures, but I'll wait for the court's verdict. In the meantime, I can still gain profit elsewhere as I don't have my money stuck in this chaotic mess because for me, once the auditor raises a red flag, I'll never touch that counter until the issue is resolved.

I don't know how long SD's court case is going to take to come up with a verdict, but 5 months from now, SD has another obligation to meet which is the USD300 million sukuk.
