长期投资不一定赚钱，如果买到劣股或半途变质的好股，那可是越长期就越亏。亲身经历的例子就有多年前的transmile， 近期的Notion(长期大出血股)。
CIMB, Genting=长期持有却还是小亏股。

“长期投资好股一定赚钱”该是比軙穏当的说法。即使不小心高价买入好股，只要长期持有，钱还是有得赚的。亲身经历的例子就有LPl，PBB，MBB。

Do not feel sorry for the current rebound. in fact I believe most of the people just add a bit only at 6.40-6.70 as the sentiment was very poor at that time. Me too, I added a bit only at 6.4+.
Some people make big money from MPI is because they bought and hold it long time ago, not from the current rebound.

Hi Johnnys and lching: if my major buy order at 6.30 was matched at any day for the last few weeks, I would be kaya now. Unfortunately only some small buy orders at 6.4+ were matched.
Nevertheless I am happy to see uptrend on share price before qtr result, sending great signal that the upcoming result would be a great one. Happy paper profit, pals.

I thought I have spotted a great potential small cap company and putting in a lot of money many years ago. I naively keep it for very long term till today. And I am losing big like hell. There is no way for me to recover anymore unless it behaves like DSonic one day and I still naively keep it for another 10 years.

It has been almost 10 years I trusted this stupid group of management and am still stupidly trusting them with my size able amount of hard earned money. How many 10 years do we have? Thus I think I deserve some privilege to grumble here, do you think so?

Judging from many poor cases either in plant's operation such as flood, fire, loss in currency, lousy performance on camera, or investment on silver and now going into the non-relevant mobile phone biz, the BOD and senior mgt team are undisputedly incompetent. All players are competing in a leveled field, while other players are making good profits for the last couple booming years but Ntion was making loses continuously, their incompetency is too obvious to ignore. Today, I can say they are lousy and incompetent; hopefully I will not say they are conman tomorrow.

As it is a 52 weeks low, I bought in today to earn ~5% yield and preserve fund in this volatile market.

Beza : It gave 1.25 cents but not 1.5 cents in Q1 and Q2.

JCY made eps 4.99cents in the 1st half. If it sustains the same eps for the 2nd half which I think it will make it easily seeing the weakening RM, then the whole year eps would be 4.99x2=10 cents. With the same DPO at 55% as last year, total div for this year would be 5.5 cents, i.e. 55/770=7.1% yield. Cheers !!!

Mahsing is very attractive now at 1.53. I have added a bit today, if I have more money, I would buy more.
Div yield would be 4.2%, ex date is at early sep15.
Going into future, div yield would grow higher and higher along with higher eps with the fixed entry cost at 1.53.
In short term, your risk is limited, maybe another -10%; in long term, your risk is negligible.

Water can carry boat also can overturn boat. All depend on how you use it. The example quoted above is consequence of people misuse share margin to gamble in equity market. The original objective of share margin is designed for people to invest in stock market. If someone misuses it for gambling, that is not the fault of share margin, but the people who misuse it.

Checked thru company's announcements, cannot find the info about stock dividend. May I know where the source of info is ?

I will wait for few more % down to add more so that my average entry price will not be pushed too much higher.

To me, the recent drop on share price of Huayang is mainly affected by the purchase of land bank which was just approved by EGM weeks ago. The new purchase has increased debt level further which is the main concern of investors on Huayang. Certainly the weak sentiment of broad market and few other factors play their role too in pulling down Huayang.

Very sad that history repeats itself where Mahsing dropped below the ex price after bonus issue as predicted earlier. I guess it will drop for few more cents. Sigh, I made a BIG loss today on Mahsing. Nevertheless I have confident that it will rebound back to 1.74 and higher in couple months.

Will I buy more? No as my portfolio has been overloaded with Mahsing.

Will I sell some? No as I treat it as a shop which generate good rental.

Why many counters drop but not you? Please drop quickly as I am now having new fund to lend to you.

With the rapidly depreciating RM, Q3 of JCY will at least similar to Q2 if not better.

I read repeatedly but CANNOT find Mr. Koon used the word "stupid" on KC. The word stupid refers to “other” a few critics.

One of the famous quote by the renown Len Yan is "Let sweet potato grows quietly beneath the ground till its full size". Mahsing is certainly one of the said sweet potato.

There is a quote that "Boring stock brings you big return quietly". Mahsing is definitely fit to this quote.

In fact my first entry price was rm1.66 5 years ago. Next week, Mahsing's price will be adjusted down close to my first entry price 6 yrs ago. So from the surface, I gained nothing from share price in 6 years.

However, the true fact is that I have made 15% CAGR after factoring in the 3 times bonus issue, 2 times right and warrant issues. The real return is not far from those of Warren B. Fantastic.

I have been waiting for RocketSing for 5 years, come quickly please, come quickly please.
