Link by the Star is no longer there. 404 already.
usually, when a consortium are form to bid for a new project, they would have agreed at least in principal on who takes what portion of the Works as well as what each consortium partners can bring to the table. Not sure whether Fajar's services overlaps with CRCC or not. It is too preliminary to say that the drop is due to this. Unless the transaction that causes the drop is done by ppl who are close to the deal and knows the inside news. lol.

Assuming QA fails, they would refund money back. Initial price was i think 0.45/share. If it comes with interest in FD (3%p.a for 3 yrs), that's probably 0.49/share. Minus some administrative fees (don't have basis for this but perhaps less 5% fees?), that would be 0.467/share.
So, if price at 0.435/share, the profit is 0.032/share (7.3% equivalent for 0.435/share) for less than 1 year period until deadline.
Sounds good. Hope no surprises when reach the deadline.

exactly. their financial seems OK for now. I have small amount of exposure to this company. No reason to panic as well.
Btw, I'm not up to the level of timing the share price. Probably easier to manage by setting the threshold of gain or paper loss before taking action. However, other factors will come in as well that time :)

good read imho. In the end of the day, if you average price is below the refund level, it's a good deal, considering that it's less than 1 year to expiry of QA period. if the $ return is more than FD, why not?

Excuse me. Please read carefully what i wrote. My statement was on the word Holland. So, how do you define Holland? Share price drops? Profits of the company drops? Fundamental changed to worst? I'm not referring to share price (drop perhaps due to market sentiment?). As for the other possibilities, I'm sure you would understand how it will effect the operations of power plants when you got not enough money to operate? Come on, you can do better than saying others is a fool. :)

How holland can TNB be? If TNB is in trouble, then whole Malaysia will have issues with electricity. It's too big to fail.

QUOTE
Three Malaysian bidders - YTL Corp, Tenaga Nasional, and Malakoff
Corporation - are understood to have put in the lowest bids for 1MDB's
power assets parked under Edra Global Energy Bhd, according to financial
executives familiar with the matter. While YTL has submitted an unattractive
"fire sale price" and Malakoff is looking to buy only 75% of the 760MW gas-fired
combined cycle Kuala Langat Power Plant, Tenaga's bid is understood to be as
much as 20% lower than the other bids.
"We had thought TNB was a serious bidder and keen to take over the power
assets but that does not seem to be the case," says a source.
The foreign bidders include Saudi Arabia's Acwa Power International, a
Thai outfit, a Qatari company and a Chinese party. Another Malaysian
company said to have shown interest is IJM Corp, which, however, has
opted for an associate stake rather than swallow the whole of Edra. (The
Edge)
If this is true, it seems doubtful that Tenaga would acquire 1MDB's power
assets as its bidding price is significantly lower than that of other bidders.

Agreed.
I recalled that many years ago, IGB was involved in one new mall and the discussion at that time was, when would IGB inject the asset to IGBREIT. couldn't recall the name and when it might happen.

Gonna wait for the binding offer from TNB to Edra (if it every gonna happen) before making any move. Tempted to go in now due to the price. However, if nothing is happening, then price could be stagnant for awhile.

IGB REIT’s 2Q15 core net profit of RM65.8m brought its 1H15 core net profit to
RM135.7m. This accounted for 53% of our full-year forecast and 55% of
consensus. We consider this to be broadly in-line as we expect a challenging
operating environment in 2H15 due to the soft consumer sentiment.
Nonetheless, we may review our forecasts pending clarification from
management. Core net profit for 1H15 grew by 16.8% yoy on the back of 7.5%
yoy revenue growth. We make no changes to our earnings forecasts and
DDM-based target price of RM1.41. We maintain our Hold call on the stock
given the lack of any acquisitions, coupled with the weak consumer sentiment
outlook. For exposure to M-REITs, we prefer Axis REIT.

Hi, Would like to understand a little bit of this rights issuance and impact on share price.
Assuming i have 10,000 shares@RM0.27=RM2,700 and i did not subscribe to the rights issuance. Assuming that the share price maintained at RM0.27 until end of the day before issuance of the rights.
So, with that, on the day that the issuance of rights can be traded, what would be the normalized price and the outcome of my holdings?
Would it be the followings?:-
Scenario 1: I still holds 10,000shares@RM0.27=RM2,700
Scenario 2: I still holds 10,000shares@[RM0.xx]<--reduced?
Much appreciate your enlightenment.

they can be in bad shape but in the end, this is not a penny stock, at least for now. So, question is, how low will it go?
Noticed a lot of comments that paint bad picture, in hope for panic selling (or trying to prevent ppl from buying 1st class ticket to holland). Too much noise already. If don't have holding power, best to skip SKP. Was hoping to read constructive comments here but unfortunately, noises just made it worst.
