This counter is stable and dividend yield is very good. If you have spare cash and looking for a safe investment which is better than FD then go for it.

I believe many are selling down before quarter result out on 28/8 for fear of the stock dropping like the previous two quarters.

Mk88 - once they signed the SPA the QA is legally binding ie even if a better offer materializes the seller cannot sell to other parties. Witholding full information does more harm than good. Again if their intention is to keep prices down that is sinister in itself. Let us hope for the best!

Tan, what was reason for sell off?

mk88 - I do not doubt this is an excellent deal for Sona, hence I have not disposed. However, as a public listed company they have a responsibility to the shareholders to provide us with solid info on the QA. If the deal is excellent why do they not want the public at large to be informed? Their action leads to suspicion which weighs down on the stock.

What is everyone's estimate ex-date of RCPS?

I noted that before RCPS announcement the share was trading at around 96c and already gone up to 1.40++.

Joined the boat at 1.36. Any idea when the RCPS will be released?

It seems to be trading aswould be expected of a warrant under mgo. I expect it to trade at slight discount to mother unless rumours of merger are dispelled.

When he says something that creates value I get the impression it will not be a high price but has potential to be great price in future.
As you said it will be the biggest bank in Malaysia. Lets hope all shareholders are rewarded.

Creating value does not necessarily mean they will offer more than RM10.80 for Aabar's stake. It sounds like they will propose a different arrangement which would perhaps be attractive (not necessarily cash). My feeling is that it will be a share swap.
