Daily market volume (in value) is slowly increasing. Pay very close attention to this number. Try to get on the boat early.

Normal behavior of such small cap illiquid counter. No more excitement after div. Furthermore with poor recent quarterly result. Unless next qtr result is going to be good. Then some excitement with insiders slowly and quietly buying.

Thanks stockraider. Totally agree with you. This is a high growth and high dividend stock waiting to be discovered and explode. When their Philippines plant start to contribute in a big way very soon, earnings growth is going to be exponential. But it is so small cap and the sellers are so far and few in between. Cheers.

About the only issue with this counter is liquidity. There is very little free float. Even after their recent rights and bonus issue last year. Any big buyer put a squeeze on it, price will fly. But fundamentals are so so good.

Hi TreeTop. I suspect it will be at least same as last interim of 22 sen. But likely to be higher due to the need to do national service as most shareholders are financially stressed and also div bar set so high by Bursa at 24 sen. Cannot be seen as lower than Bursa's.

No windfall tax but will need to declare big div. Govt agencies like EPF need the money.

Yes, the div trap argument is totally valid but it also depends on your cost and if the company can continue to consistently pay high div. At 9.67 and a div yield of more than 8%, I don't think the trap works anymore. Happy and savvy investing. Cheers.

Guys, have a glance at Tenaga and Petgas too which are currently trading at reasonable price before their coming Q2 and div announcement. I suspect with Bursa setting the dividend bar so high, they are likely to follow giving their yield at way above 8%. They can well afford it judging fr their improved revenue and profit in Q1.

Yes, the higher div is a pleasant surprise. If final and special div can at least be maintained at 34 sen, it will give a yield of 7.7% at current price of RM7.53. That is fantastic.

Excellent choice Jack. Cannot guarantee it will not go under water in the short term but long term you will be very very fine. Like guru Buffett said: the best time to buy is when you have the money and the best time to sell is never. Caveat though: only applies to quality shares at reasonable price. Keep adding whenever possible or necessary. A good thing is never enough.

Wow, you guys must be straight As students. Me just did some lazy and elementary homework and found out that fellow listed exchanges like SGX, HKSE and ASX have much lower div yield at less than 3%. Just to share and try to bring some value to the table. Shy Shy.

You guys are so so smart. Me....just happy it's a very safe stock and if div yield is much better than bank's FD. Although like you all said, past performance does not guarantee future achievement, believe div yield will always be above 5% at current price. Of course lower the price the better for yield. Sweet spot Treetop. Actually investing in the Malaysia market can be an easy "basket" case. Meaning one doesn't have to be too smart or think so much and just put all eggs in one very very good basket which is reasonably priced, consistently high div, monopolistic or oligopolistic, cash business, debt free, good corporate governance and recession proof.

Bursa is one good example. Start at a relatively low entry price(like now), keep on buying gradually and consistently if it goes down further. Just hold forever (like what Buffett says) and live happily ever after. Collect yearly high div every year. Blissful.

No need to spread your bullets too thin by having a big portfolio which you may need to keep averaging. Investment 101.
