I avoided this counter even since listing because it always seemed overvalued 2 me & in the wrong sector. Regretted it a little when it kept on going up since listing & even my MBB dealer recommended...yet my 27-year veteran investor sixth sense was never tempted to buy.

For parent Bjcorp, VT sold massively in '99 from 550 + mil shrs to 150+ mil if I remember correctly right after the 'restructuring' announcement & ICULs issuance when the price shoot from 50c to $2.60. Within days, plunge to almost $1, rebound briefly then ended 1999 @ 70c...After that, NO EYE SEE & slowly rot into de facto insolvency in 2005 when they did another massive restructure with capital reduction

If two massive restructures/ICULs issuance in the high-growth 1990s & 2000s failed to revive this zombie, do you expect another 'restructuring' to revive it in the Covid-depression?

27.33% of 5329 million is insignificant as it leaves almost at least 4 BILLION shares( prob more since he's 'selling') floating around potentially dump-able, sending the price to below 20c again, esp now with the total lockdown that gives fundamentally-minded holders plenty of excuses to SELL...

Just a little bit of history lesson, coz we judge a co & its managers by its TRACK record, not empty flowery promises that are easily broken : After a similar 'restructuring' in 1999, the shareholders' equity dropped from 2.662 bil in '99 to 2.112 bil in '00, then 1.481 bil('01), 0.859 bil('02), 0.515 bil ('03), 0.308 bil('04) then had to restructure massively in 2005 by shareholders suffering a 5 to 1 capital reduction or else the s/h equity would have gone -VE. NTA in '99 was $2.07 but dropped steadily to NEGATIVE by '04, meaning the co. was effectively bankrupt.

This co. ( & bjland) also has a long track record of shortchanging shareholders by issuing massive ICULs that in fact never solved the low ROE & financial rot of the co. over the years. Back in the late 1980s when all this ICULs nonsense started, there were only 326 mil shrs outstanding...now there are 16X as much floating supply because of all these excessive ICULs issuance that promised to solve the high gearing of the co. but in fact worsened it.

FANTASTIC quarter! Net Cash + liquid investments = $4.47 per share!!! NTA surges to record $10.85!

Follow the clever foreigners instead of listening to louuuu cheeen lol

Now only VT & related parties bouncing 5329 million tickets among themselves & ikan bilis. Check the shareholder registers: Goldman Sachs which used to hold up to 562 mil shrs at the peak in 2011, UBS up to 436.8 mil & Credit Suisse up to 281 mil shrs all CABUT already since 2012-2014!

He already de facto retired years ago but was forced 2 return when his son messed up things so BADLY that it was even jeopardising his OWN net worth...his heart is not in reviving the co....for sure! More likely thinking about spending the rest of his mortal days in health & comfort...

So just take note of the probabilities & make yr own judgement. I laugh when ppl say I 'talk down' the shr price because only in my wildest dreams could I be that powerful ! Even Warren Buffett cannot talk down any co's shr price for long if the fundamentals are good!

I gave VT another chance when I bought in 2017 but within mths already huge paper loss & so I averaged down @ 19c last year to 1.get the shr dividend & 2. to avg down the cost massively so I could RUN when the price exceeded 30c becos I refuse to lose to crookish characters! Mission accomplished & I'm staying out for now.

Just like those forgotten uncles & aunties who chased high in the $2++ range in '99 when VT start his NATO wayang...or those who chase @ $1++ in 2007....or those who bought in the same range in 2010 on his Sports toto trust cr*p...this stock is a graveyard for many small investors who will never trust him ever again...

Check the price history...still hanging around the 1998 Crisis low of 26c, way below the 1997 high of $3, the 1999 high of $2.60, the 2007 high of $1.35...only gd thing is it's way above the low range of 5-30c during the loooong period of 2001-2006.

After Great recession in '09, the price went from 42c to 168c on dunno what c*ck & bu ll story abt injecting Ascot sports into the co....aborted...slide all the way to 90c but didn't break it for 2 yrs...then give a lot of retailers hope but in 2012, it crashed massively back to 48c, dingdong around there for 2 yrs then down again into the low 30s. Then come out again & retook the leadership from his useless offspring in 2017, sending it up to 40c again.

Nothing happened & it relentlessly slide until 18c last yr...now bring in Jalil & talk up...repeat & playback same pattern over & over again...repeating loop since 1999 but never add any value 2 the co.

I was the one who nicknamed rr88 rugi-rugi...because he was making a lot of noise on Huaan thread when it went from 4.5c to 22c...he said sure down one bla bla bla...then it slowly rocketed to 66.5c in Jan 2018 LOL
