1.76 was the price apart from the free shares offered to shareholders of IOI. I think IOIPG share offered to public was 2.51.So don't think you sell at 2.55 you make money. Must consider the cost of IOI Corp shares which has dropped.

I don't think so. If it were to happen that's the end of Singapore. They have the sovereign wealth fund (among the world's highest) which Iceland doesn't have. They have trade unlike Iceland which rely mostly on tourism. Their mistake was being a financial centre where they did not see it coming (or regulate it much). My opinion.
