Ex-Finance Minister cum current MP Titiwangsa which is YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani soon may merge to be major shareholder of Mynews.

Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani's interest in taking up a block with market talk is quiet coincidence with Mynews announcement for a proposed fundraising exercise through the issuance of new shares.

Mynew said the proposed placement has been identified to third-party heavy investors at an issue price to be determined later.

Interestingly, Mynews founder and CEO - Dang Tai Luk has slowly raised equity interest in Mynews by more than 2 million shares since early May 2023.

Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani's track record in corporate scene was successfully managing Pepsi and Permanis Sdn Bhd, a soft drink bottling plant and sold to Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group in 2011 for a whopping near to RM900 million. Impressively YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani only bought Permanis by RM70 million in 2005.

He is well known for a corporate turnover, structuring expertise, chartered accountant and had fame from his time at the helm by owned KFC, Pizza Hut and Ayamas before he sold in 2005.

Ex-Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani currently owned C.I Holdings Bhd, KUB Malaysia Bhd and Media Prima Bhd.
