Last few year gov revenue depend on export n gov neglected domestic consumption growth. Domestic consumption growth declined mainly due to stagnant salary partly due to massive foreign labour. They took large chunk of our money back to their home country.

My concern is that why contract awarded still pressing to "renegotiate" or treaten for cancellation.
Contractor fund came from investor pocket bukan china money.

Local JB people not likely to buy property at this economy situation. Those outstation would only rent a hse or a room.
JB property prices are depending on foreign investor especially Singaporean. But current transport and traffic is one of the main issue that hinders property ownership in jb.

Lets says the earlier underground works was 10km. WIP only done 2km. Hence new contractor just need to drill it to the nearest ground surface more or less 200 meters and remaining tracks to be build on ground surface.

LGE asking MRT2 to be build on the ground. Many contractors able to build it. Eg. Bpuri, IJM, MRCB, ekovest and etc.
