There main business avenues will be making acrylic car windows for electric cars, glass is to heavy and the acrylic that is produced via the cold manufacturing process has better visual acuity than glass and is significantly lighter. There second business avenue is providing the acrylic for solar panels. Their problem is not securing the work, that is done, the problem is in supplying the quantity needed and of the relevant quality, hence the expansion plans to double production capacity. Dato' Yeo Boon Leong, is the chairman at asiaply and also a non executive director at Tawin. Tawin are going to supply the copper wires that are needed for battery operated cars. Asiaply also owns 15% of CYPRIUM WIRE TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD a subsidiary of Tawin. Its all there is just time to undertake the works which have been hampered by MCO etc. The gem is that Cyprium Wire Technology Sdn Bhd have secured a global vendor agreement from Aptiv plc. Aptiv is listed on the USA stock exchange and there clients are everyone from Toyota to Tesla, BMW etc etc. The whole story is quite exciting. on top of this Asiapoly is the only company listed on Bursa that produce acrylic via a cold manufacturing process, acrylic can be produced via a hot manufacturing process, but then it is opaque, so any future competition will be starting from scratch.

@Aaron_Tan with Asia Poly I am not looking at the technical indicators, they have a good business future ahead and I am holding for the long term.

MCO cannot run the factory at full capacity with SOP restrictions. No point to cut loss now. Virtually does not matter what stock you are in at the moment the whole market is down, no point to cut loss so near the bottom. If you can hold for another 6 - 12 months there will be a rebound. Asiply has loads of cash at hand and will be able to weather this storm. Plus they will also get income from their biogas project in Kelantan next year, which has received the feed-in approval from the government to supply power to Tenaga Nasional for 21 years at a feed-in-tariff rate of up to 38.3 sen per k/Wh.

@Ema, they are doubling their production output from 800 tonnes to 1600 tonnes, but with MCO the factory is unlikely to be performing at full tilt. However the works were started ages ago and completion was anticipated for June 2021. In terms of volatility you could not create a better perfect storm. If we are not at the bottom now, we are very near. At this price there is more upside now than downside.

In this market you can't look at technical indicators, you know the company has a bright future, just need to hold and wait it out. If you panic and sell at the bottom, you are going to be very upset in Q2 2022, when the share price has bounced back. Still holding.

Just remember that they have also diversified into a medical company that will give them guaranteed returns over the next two years, plus they have lots of cash from the recent share subdivisions. Just hold tight, the value from the EV will be some way off, especially due to MCO, but we will also get some warrants in due course.

@Aaron-Tan, as far as I know to loose all, the company must go bankrupt. It is quite difficult for a company to go bankrupt when they have as much cash as Asiaply! With Solar power and electric vehicles as business avenues, Asiaply will have its day eventually. In terms of intrinsic value..asiaply have implemented works to double their production output from 800 to 1,600 tonnes, yet the share value is still only hovering around 0.25. I only plan to review my holdings when the share value reaches 0.75.

lol the share price is down due to covid / current business environment only. Fundamentals are still strong. Look at the type of investors in asiaply e.g. Tokio Marine, Citigroup, Affin Hwang Asset Management etc. Asiaply also is cash rich and well resourced for these uncertain times.

I wrote this explanation for some one else and just thought I would copy and paste the info here for sharing purposes and greater clarity ...
Dato' Yeo Boon Leong, is the Executive Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Asia Poly and he is also a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Ta Win. Asiaply has also just bought 15% of CYPRIUM WIRE TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD a whole owned subsidiary of Tawin. Tawin recently secured a global vendor agreement from international technology and mobility company, Aptiv plc. Aptiv plc clients are basically everyone from Toyota to Tesla, they even have BMW! so Tawin will do the copper wiring in electric cars and asiaply will do the windows.
Electric cars need to save weight so acrylic is lighter and has a better visual acuity than glass. Asiaply are also the only manufacture use a cold method to produce there acrylic and the only company doing this who are listed on bursa.

Yes, asiaply will have the opportunity to make car windows, which are lighter than glass and have better visual acuity.

Just hold...many companies share price depressed during MCO, no point to sell now. Fundamentals of Asiaply still very good, patience is required. I am still holding and have no intention to sell.

Maybe / maybe not...but once the additional output kicks in from new factory works which is intended to double production, then we should see a significant jump. Right now during MCO / Covid times one has to have some patience and wait it out.

@superb99...do remember that they are very close to completing the factory works which will double their production capacity. The works were supposed to be finished in June 2021, but I suspect with MCO will have been delayed at bit, waiting on announcement of completion.
They also did the works to double the production with an end purchaser in mind, i.e. they did not do the works speculatively. They are also the only acrylic manufacture on bursa...that's like having only Top Glove and nobody else making gloves in the the country.
The contract I suspect is with either a solar panel manufacture or to replace the glass windows in electric cars. The acrylic produced by asiaply uses a cold manufacturing process which provides great visual acuity than the hot manufacturing process used by acrylic manufactures in other parts of asia. The acrylic is also much lighter than glass so will provide weight saving / efficiency for electric vehicles.
The counter recently went up to RM0.42 and last year on this news the counter hit RM 0.60, although that was also in part to being a PPE provider.
As a result of covid they have increased their presence in Europe and America, so one would anticipate additional growth in these localities moving forward. I would say the future is very bright for Asiaply and I would not be surprised if this share went above RM0.70++ at some point. But no doubt I will get shot down saying that in the middle of MCO with the current share price only being RM0.32. lol..But watch this space ..:)

This is currently my best performing shareholding, copper is expected to enter into the start of a super cycle, E.V. growth potential is staggering. So many Banks and investment firms are promoting investment in E.V. Tawin have already secured the APTIV plc contract and the new management have made a very promising start to turn Tawin around. Whilst Asiaply have reduce there shareholdings, they are still invested, just not as much. In these times, it is prudent for asiaply to keep the cash to inject into their core business, so I don't see that as any reflection on Tawin, just diligent business management by asiaply.

Middle of MCO 3.0 ....share price fairly stable all things considered. Still holding...Looking forward to see the share price in Q4.

Guys next few weeks for sure going to be challenging, with the lock down. But asiaply is a super gem, that's why I am holding. Everyone take care and be safe.
No need to fight, this company is going places. They will double their production with the new factory, which they built to satisfy the demand for electric car windows and solar panels.
Don't be afraid of the vaccine ..I took it and so should you. Lock downs are not the answer!

@investment888 Asiaply future is very bright, the new factory will double their production capacity, the factory is targeted to complete in June, but with MCO etc...I expect some delay. Market sentiment at the moment with MCO / Covid is very depressed hence the lack luster share performance, but this is practically the same case across the board.
