@123eztrade share price drops from 0.60 all the way down to 0.14, a small blip of recover muncul and you want to tell everyone to sell ? Seriously even with a bad quarter share price is not going to move that much....more upside than downside from now on. Also the profit should start to improve in the following quarters as the restrictions are easing...

People were bound to take profit, after the recent high. However my thought is to hold and wait and see some profits from EV business, then if all goes well share price should really move up in 2022.

Last year asiaply did RM 240,000 worth of business in Europe and now they have only done RM1000! The restrictions will be lifted eventually and then the factory can operate at 100% and transport abroad unhindered. That is not the work of a syndicate just lack of profit due to covid restrictions

I believe asiaply is an honest business, not a goreng counter, or else I would have dumped long ago. Still holding....

“Today, the sports car and electric vehicle (makers) are making window, windshield, lamp and meter screens using acrylic instead of glass, which is too heavy.” Dato Yeo in press release in the Edge Nov 2020.
He went on to say, ' There are still certain criteria to be met. We are working closely ... we will see if we can achieve the quality and volume that they require.”
Then they suddenly Asiaply decided to extend the factory doubling there production line capacity from 800 mt per month, to 1,600 mt per month.
Data Yeo also sits on the Tawin Board. Tawin have entered the EV market. https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/ta-win-enters-electric-vehicle-market-subsidiary-appointed-global-vendor.

@tap70...
Asiapoly made this announcement on the 17 March 2021. Please read the last line.
'The Board of Directors of Asia Poly wishes to announce that the Company via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Asia Poly EV Tech Sdn Bhd (“APEVTSB”) had on 15 March 2021 together with Cyprium Wire Technology Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Ta Win Holdings Berhad) formed a new company known as Cyprium Asiapoly EV Sdn Bhd (“CAESB”) under the Companies Act 2016 with the principal activities of manufacturing and distribution of power and signal distribution system, high tension cable, battery cable and any other automotive parts or components for automobile and electric vehicles using patented cross-linking/ionizing radiation treatment which utilises electron beam irradiation technology as well as cast acrylic products for the automotive industry. @unomi I feel the same, but six months ago I thought 0.30++ was a good price, before that the yearly high was 0.60++ and they did a historic PP @ 0.416.
We are in a down trend now, I would like to say this is the bottom, but the only thing I can say for sure is it is a new low. If current trend continues I foresee another new low.
The good thing is this is just irrational market sentiment, once the factory can start running properly and they can import / export without hindrance, we will see a sharp recovery. If you compare the 30th of June 2020 quarter asiaply did RM2,040,000 in Europe. In the corresponding quarter 30th of June 2021 asiaply did RM1000 in Europe!
This industry has a predicted CAGR of 6.4% during the period 2019 to 2024 so good growth is expected. Data Yeo also said in the quarterly notes, ' The Management is confident that, there will still be strong growth after this pandemic period.'

Maybe....Hopefully not. They need to get there factory back up to 100% production speed. Plus they will also start to get the income from Asia Poly Bio Gas Sdn Bhd in 2022 which has been granted a feed-in approval by SEDA to supply biogas to TNB for 21 years at a feed-in-tariff rate of up to 38.3 sen per k/Wh.

Datuk Yeo Boon Leong said in a press release in 2020.
'However, moving forward, its focus will be on the automotive and energy sectors which increasingly require their sheets for their end-products, according to the source.'

@Aaron_Tan asiapoly does produce the acrylic screens which were in demand during covid peak times, but I would not have invested in asiaply on that basis, as you correctly say the demand for them will drop and they also will last for many years.
What covid did for asiaply is allow them to get a bigger foothold in Europe and the USA. Historically they were trading like 1% - 3% of there turnover in these regions and I think this moved up to nearly 20% recently and asiaply expect it to increase further.

These are crazy times in the market. Take another example Jaks, has a power plant in Vietnam, its recently just come on stream. This means that JAKS has a steady income which is guaranteed for the next 25 years. Pretty much a no brainer for the share value to rise, yet its share price went from 0.82 to around 0.47 Makes no sense! Eventually this will get corrected at somepoint, but who knows when.

@HamsterHuat I still believe in all the positive points I have outlined in my previous posts for the companies future. The company is cash rich, so it wont go to holland. Share price has been effected more to do with external factors e.g. covid, poltics etc rather than the company outlook. I am not giving advise, but it makes no sense to sell at or very near the bottom. Just put in deep freezer and check the price once a week rather than 5 times a day.

@williee2, seems hard to fathom a drop to that level, but even so do you not see the share price coming back up after the factory kicks back into proper production mode in 2022 ? What's your view ?

@aaron_Tan some big leaps in the thought process there, I think there has been a big fundamental change in the rubber glove business, because the supply and demand has been rebalanced.

@willee2 many people in this forum know I am positive on Asiapoly and the only reason for that is I think Asiaply are a company with good long term prospects and so I invested. At the point we went into this never ending phased lockdown, the share price slid from 0.42 down to its current level. However nothing changed with Asiapoly. Larger investors like Kenanga, Tokio Marine, Citi Group, Affin Asset Management and UOB also still remain invested. The group is very cash rich, so they are not going anywhere and eventually there will be a correction. When that will be I don't have a crystal ball, but if the share price can swing from 0.42 to 0.18, it can also swing back the other way at some point....

Asiaply have been talking about this for over 2 years, they have expansion plans to double the factory for this very reason. They have set up a specific subsidiary company for this very purpose. Dato Yeo also sits on the board for Tawin who have just won a contract with aptiv who are listed on the New York stock exchange and there clients are everyone from Tesla to Toyota, so they had enough industry exposure to have there plan shot down if it did not have legs. suddenly you pop up with one internet article and say the whole plan is doomed ....lol.

@i3lurker, one thing is for sure Asiaply has plenty of cash and they are not going anywhere. If you want to short thats great, but why sow seeds of discontent ? oh by the way IRR is Internal Rate of Return. I was surprised to see you were so unfamiliar with this terminology.

@Aaron_Tan challenging market, challenging times. I am working on the basis that they have a strong cash pile to weather the storm and the capacity to double their existing production volume in the foreseeable future. Next few months we should move through the various phases and the factories will be able to run at full capacity again. The demand for EV will be staggering and asiaply is the only listed company on Bursa producing acrylic with the cold manufacturing process which gives the visual acuity to be used as car windscreen and windows. The bet is still good.

@valuesearcher....I will be here well into 2022 maybe even beyond. Tawin and Asiaply are targeting the EV market. EV market will explode in demand over next 5 years. They only need a small slice of it.
Trouble is not selling along the way. Say Tawin hit 0.35 ..difficult not to sell right?...but what if it hit RM1.5 later on or even more ?
Of course today everyone just laughs ...
