Management did not comment on share price. Management did mention that they are looking forward to expand to other states, but must be profitable. Whereas for the acquisition, management deemed it as a fair buy, not cheap, but fair. Issue price would be 90sen.

Personally, I would consider it as a good sign, despite offering 90sen, it is still a deal accepted, showing support for the company's position. Apart from that, waterworks will remain Ranhill's biggest revenue contributor, with hopes that next year water tariffs that is supposed to be adjusted, will be adjusted.

I often doubt people who indicates or states "Announcement coming soon" and so on.

But regardless, its been awhile since I visited here. This time round this looks fragile, perhaps fragility has its own value.

Received a phone call from Ranhill today, and they demonstrated good rapport with shareholders.

@Swen11 Oh no my friend, great acquisition has nothing directly to do with share price.

On paper, the acquisition is great. It really does unlock value for Ranhill. But whether Ranhill is able to make the best out of this, is up to their performance.

These type of company, especially with current dependency on Water Sales, is difficult to judge. Once they acquire the new diversifications and growth, then only we can judge whether the share price is reasonable or not.

Given the growth of population, 5 years time definitely can say its a worthy company to buy. But if you are looking for explosion, then you can only hope for things like winning tender for Rasau Project.

Great acquisition and integration of RWSB and RBSB. Unlocks value on Ranhill's end to go for more contractual works. Perhaps can set sight on Rasau Project too.

A very pleasant acquisition of RWSB, RBSB with issuance of shares 100% at 95 cents each. With the acquisition of these 2 companies, Ranhill can look towards becoming a huge E&E conglomerate.

With its secondary listing in SGX, will test its resolve. Well done.

@roger3210, this has been a long time news (years), and has been taken into account awhile back. And the total payment made was less than anticipated. So, please do read up not only the recent announcements, but also the past announcements.

With a retained profit of 100m+, this 1m+ isn't even that impactful if they really would like to use this sum as "cash flow".

What sort of announcement are you talking about? As I have not heard of anything. Appreciate if you could advise rather than playing with silhouette.

Good insights Andre, I would say definitely the steel price could hurt profitability in near future especially for MLT.

I think this the following is something that can be done by the management to reduce risk exposure to this:

1. Since DANCO's subsidiary is involved in pump/valve manufacture and some components can be passed on from MTL, such moves can reduce costs drastically.

2. As a portion of DANCO's business involves import and exporting equipments, USD's strength may or may not play in favor for DANCO.

3. Looking into the balance sheet and inventories, perhaps the management did have a good stock at hand before the steel price rallied.

4. Otherwise, I would expect them to pass on the costs to end customer.

Overall, the influx of liquidity into the economy causes inflation, I would say this effect might be felt throughout other industries as well. This coming quarter would be a good fit to test out DANCO's management for this type of exposure.
