if the results is so bad, it wouldn't be where it is now...in fact, it's an opportunity to buy before sentiments get better for gloves...
2020-08-27 13:45 | Report Abuse
don't worry gemfinder, with the sentiments currently, i think you'll still be able to get in cheap...
2020-08-27 13:43 | Report Abuse
just to bring in some perspective...
latest quarter
- harta's EPS - 6.49
- kossan's EPS - 10.25
- Careplus EPS - 4.1 (after deducting one off profit)
- ruberex EPS - 8.69
Don't think ruberex did poorly at all...
2020-08-27 13:12 | Report Abuse
And Yes, we haven’t factored in extended capacity in Q4
2020-08-27 13:10 | Report Abuse
8.69 x 4 = 34.76
Assuming next 4 quarters can do the same
34.76 x 20 PE = 6.95
If we look at the running EPS 14.14
If we multiply by the PE that Careplus is running on after their report, which is currently 59x
14.14 x 59 = 8.34

Yea, Patrick is right, it's not about absolute earnings, it's about earnings per share.
Ruberex is a small player, but the following is why I think has potential.
1) It doesn't have as much shares issued as compared to the rest (easily controlled - Well, can work both ways - but just be careful.)
2) the stock looks cornered. Owner owns >50% officially. Unofficially? And continually buying.
3) It has a doubling capacity story which hopefully comes on-stream by 3rd or 4th quarter 2020.
4) Earnings growth is easy to come by from smaller companies with smaller bases. Especially when there's strong demand and ASP growth.
5) Very aggressive and opportunistic owner from how it looks so far.
Hope it doesn't disappoint in the next few months to come.
FYI, I have both Comfort and Ruberex. I also hope comfort catches up with Ruberex and both run like crazy ! Fingers crossed Ruberex comes out with good results, as it is reporting soon, and that will drive all the second tier stocks !

@superpanda, let's hope they do 3x Q1, then we have something great to look forward to ! :)

If I apply Supermax's performance on TG, I actually think they'll break the billion ! let's see...if it does, it's good for the glove sector as a whole...
2020-08-19 20:33 | Report Abuse
sure hope they do much better than 30mil
2020-08-19 20:32 | Report Abuse
i have comfort for sometime now...if it just reaches 30mil, it would be disappointing...If I assume they repeat this for 4 quarters, it'll be roughly
~ 5.6 EPS x 4 = 22.4
20 PE = 4.48
Put a little bit of growth in it
25PE = 5.60
Which means we should be selling it soon?

it's a wonderful initiative by yttihs to stop the rot in this forum...the stench of manipulation was getting unbearable, with baseless comments...we can agree to disagree but some of the comments are downright puerile.

Why worry about Q2 GDP report when...
- Gross exports in June is the highest in 2020.
- Wholesale and retail trade is back to precovid levels
- Credit card transactions back to March levels
- IPI & PMI in June back to normal
- Loans disbursed by banks back to precovid levels in June..
What matters is what's the figures going forward not the past

Totally agree

dreamer74 I dun think this counter is overvalue. Latest QR RM0.3eps, forwarded PE is only 16.2 base on today's price. It is cheap. It will be up for sure but first it need to bottom down. Everybody is trying to catch that.

careful what you wish for...some here shit on the stock, hope for lower prices...it happens, they buy and they're now stuck ! damn f***ing funny...but life as a trader is such...we may be in for one or two more weeks of this...hope not, but just stay firm...good luck, even to those pitiful flip flop traders...

Both sides will have their point of view on things. Go back to human behavior. During correction, everybody will panic and sell out of fear. Then when it starts to run. Everybody will jump back in out fear also. Fear of missing out. Greed kicks in and all the co*k talk about vaccine is out the window. At least for a while. Happy trading

1) This is the first correction that's more than 20% since the hike from 6.50 to 24.40, therefore, can we take stock of things a little before we overreact? That's one helluva amazing hike without a huge correction.
2) Plus when TopGlove reported an excellent result on June 11, the price went to a high of circa 18 to 14 within six days after, roughly 22% drop.
3) Similarly, Supermax has thus far dropped 25% from the high (accelerated by the Russian vaccine hoax, no doubt).
4) TopGlove soon after the decline went on a long ascent, with one little blip in between due to the US customs issue, before today's correction.
5) So, please take note, the correction is due, and this may not and should not be the end of gloves.
But up to you to decide.

This Russian vaccine really played up hard by those who were shaken out on Monday or sold off high yesterday! What to do, we just have to co exist with traders.

I’ll think twice about taking a vaccine even after two years of testing, let alone no Phase III testing. Buy on weakness !

it's one thing about having a vaccine available, but it's another to get people to get vaccinated...especially one that has not been properly tested ! unless you do it at gunpoint ! so please stop talking like it's so easy to administer...

it's a political ploy by Putin...anyway, don't know how people will react tomorrow...my impression of late is the vaccine story is a non event to people. just noise, as people are now more aware that vaccines do not come overnight

@chasebros - Exactly, they have actually exceeded expectations, hence revisions. My hope is comfort is able to increase their prices and PAT margins. Supermax' margins are phenomenal.

@alexByob, I’m kinda disappointed too. Taking their revenue and quarterly output into consideration, it doesn’t appear like comfort had strong pricing power as compared to careplus nor ruberex. If the last quarter, comfort managed to raise their selling price by 2 to 3 times, then we will have a strong chance of big profits. It’s now mainly about the average price sold per quarter. We can only hope !

8.69 x 4 = 34.76
Assuming next 4 quarters can do the same
34.76 x 20 PE = RM6.95
I did the above earlier...that assumes no growth...but if there's a doubling of capacity...i don't think 30PE would be unfair...
34.76 x 25 PE = RM8.69
To keep it conservative...i won't do a 30 PE
