Friction is created because we just think that a stock can only go one way. if we're mid to long term, hold and ride the ups and downs. The recent run up that the gloves had is an anomaly...yes, we want a repeat of it, but we need to be patient...

@jiasaihooi, that’s because they likely picked up yesterday for a quick trade. Mid to long term investors have to try to cut out the NOISE

1) stock is obviously on a long term uptrend
2) yesterday it was at an area of value ie support line as well as the 20 MA
3) today seemed to be a reversal pattern

In any case, I’m holding at least til Aug, coz the stars have aligned for rubber gloves. And this happens very rarely.

@tiantsai, that's why i mentioned some time ago, you may sell some and hold some...if it goes up you have holdings, and if it goes down, you can buy back...everyone has their own style of investing...to everyone their own...no right, no wrong...

to remind folks on why you bought into gloves in the first place...sea of red sometimes clouds the memory

1) phenomenal current and future profits

2) very few other industries for investors/funds to go in for profits in the pandemic (this fact will be shockingly clear in the next quarter)

3) our companies are world beaters/class in this industry

it's consolidating because the prices have run ahead of itself. After profit taking, and some consolidation, it should start on another wave upwards again. Don't waver just because of a few DOOMSDAY comments...

in times of correction, funds/investors just use any reason to profit take...

"European markets fall as virus concerns linger" - at some other time, this caption would have pushed glove counters up. It's just that it's a little high at the moment and funds want to cash out...

For those who think a vaccine is coming within this year, they are dreaming. Even if there is, it’s will take time to administer and take effect.

Sadly, the world will be saddled by the virus for a long time.

Actually, there’s just a difference in styles and timeframes that’s causing this friction here. Everyone just has to accept that some of the traders may be right that the stock is a little weak and may consolidate for a while.

If they sell and catch cheaper, good for them. If they sell and price goes up, good for the long players. End of the day, no need to get upset. I’m both, I sold 1/4 and hold 3/4.

Don’t know whether previous pattern will repeat itself, but any major dip you better be quick, otherwise you will miss it. Why? There are many who’s waiting to jump in. That’s for sure.

1) do you think the bankers/operators pushed it down for retailers to sweep and accumulate all the way up? Of course not.
2) do you think they would do another round when retailers are waiting to swoop in, now that they know what happened today? Who knows, the operators may be that dumb. Will they be?
3) do you think those with margins from banks that did not call a capping didn't sell yet? Would they not sell in anticipation that it will happen to them? Would they not have sold in the panic this morning? After all, it's one helluva huge volume day.
4) do you think the funds wouldn't be climbing over each other to accumulate when the prices fall, especially like today?
5) main thing is, do you believe in the earnings that will be coming in the coming quarters? If you do, don't worry...many will be clamoring to jump in when prices are depressed !

looking at the forum, trying to chart the emotional cycle of the market against supermax investors, I'd say many have just passed the state of euphoria (and maybe still in euphoria) and gone to the stage of complacency. You know what happens when we're complacent...yes, it may still go green today...but be wary, not complacent...sell into strength, not weakness. Good luck !

Sense is there, delay is also there. Pray that the divestment happens, and happens soon.

I believe it mentioned listing 2021/2022 but there should be a divestment in the Vietnam assets to facilitate growth. That should be the short term catalyst. However, that seems elusive, since that was supposed to happen end of last year. Hope that really materializes soon.

It’s about time for a revival after two years of slumber. It’s not that it’s gone south, but it has not exploded as we hoped for as well. Feels like we’re on the threshold, like where we were two years ago, with all that promise. Hope there are no more delays and this company fulfills its potential.

Judging by how the Malaysian business has been contributing this year. Q4 is going to be very good. FY growth over last year will be respectable. That's my guess.

I think on a whole it’s not bad. My concern is, why is the regional revenue almost stagnant when depreciation has almost doubled? Wouldn’t the latter mean that more towers are in play? The profits are holding up, thankfully, because of the Malaysian business, which has picked up again. The tower business needs to contribute more going forward. Not sure if I’m seeing it right

Actually, I agree with sosfinance. It is just 3sen above what the placees paid for their placement shares, which is not totally logical. I’m sure there was some kind of assurance given to placees for them to commit. If it goes below 55, they may as well have bought from the open market. Anyway, that’s just my point of view.

if you invest with a mid to long term view, there's no reason for fear and/or anger...especially if you believe in the fundamentals of the stock...
