If we expect 100mil for the next four quarters, at this price, we're at about 22-23 x PE. But some of us think there's growth and it's gonna be higher than 100mil la. For that, up to you la, what PE would you assign to reflect the growth potential? More importantly, what would the funds have in mind? 30x? 50?

Even if we conservatively say supermx makes 100 mil the next 4 quarters.

Works our to roughly 7.7 sen per share. Annualize that without growth assumptions, it equates to roughly 31 sen per share. 20x PE makes it 6.20. This is conservative edy.

If funds allow it to go below that without taking it for themselves. I’d be surprised. Sorry, just some back of the envelope calculation.

Now the naysayers are going with the approach of non sustainability. Yes, the growth post pandemic will not be as high as per next one year for gloves, but it will never go back to where it was pre covid.

1) Like how office usage will never be the same again.
2) Like how Online purchases will never look back again
3) like how Travel will never be the same again etc etc

And who knows when the pandemic will really be over.

2) Supermax continued running after results because it was only around 55 x PE when its Q3 results came out and that PE dropped slightly right after results.

That’s why TG fell flat after results. Can’t expect a stock to continually run on crazy PEs without retracement. Let them both refuel and then we go again !

For now, we know the profits are going to be phenomenal, at least til March next year. Why? Because new case numbers keep going up despite the summer months. Imagine autumn and winter when the flu season compounds issues.

Ignore those calling doom. Treat them as noise. Yes, there will be some ups and downs. Just hold. Why? Because the PE after Q4 results is only going to be around the 30s.

Fact is, when TG issued it's QR it was running at 118 x PE on current earnings (now at around 60+PE). What it means is it was running in anticipation of future earnings. However, before it reaches its ultimate goal, it has to take a rest. It has to digest the information that came out, and it has to shake out weak holders, and new funds have to take position. It will resume its journey when it's refueled. If we're not patient, we can get off the bus, because there's no telling how long we'll be at the petrol station.

@tiantsai, at this moment % increase in revenue will not match % increase in earnings as ASP of gloves and perhaps better cost are the main drivers.

@sharesnewbie, we will get a real feel of things to come when we see the Q4 report. Meantime, we just wait patiently.

tiantsai, there's no denying the PER is at lofty levels at the moment, hence, the correction to more palatable levels before the excitement of Q4 results come into play, which will lower the PER and perhaps give us a real feel of what the future really holds...I've never argued against those saying the price will correct, because it's normal for the stock to find a footing/base after a run up.

yes, IB reports must be read with caution, however, let's use some common sense here...Q3 profits for Supermx doubled. That hasn't even factored in the worst of the pandemic in April & May. Also, it's not like the pandemic is over. In fact, it seems to be getting worse, just that the media is not focusing on it as before.
