I still think Raider is wrong on WTI as a sour crude....its light sweet...many US producers have complex refineries so they are importing mid east oil whilst WTI is being exported to those with simple refineries...

I think when oil prices move north, there's enough mechanism to absorb the higher costs. As lower cost inventories can last 3 to 4 weeks, there's an immediate gain. Subsequent higher costs products will be retailed at higher prices, which in the local context will be through the weekly Wednesday adjustments.

Apart from that HY management will be hedging against fuel costs and forex movements. For investors, the proof of the pudding is in the eating as I said in my earlier posts..so we await their Q1 results.

Pls note the diff between brent and WTI....about usd 5....compare to usual USD 3....this mean hengyuan make additional usd 2 margin...bcos can use wti the heavier crude....but calculation of price use brent as an input mah...!!

You sure that Brent is popular here..Brent is north sea..transport distance is almost as far compared with WTI..both are light sweet crude more expensive but Brent is about 5 to 10% more...

David Tan uses Brent, a light sweet oil, at much higher cost to calculate. As Hy has a complex refinery shouldn't he be using cheaper heavy sour crude from the mid-east such as Dubai crude for calculation???

For me, although I believe in its fundamentals, there's operator/s involve ..these are whales.. not KYY who's big fish but nimble and fast...so HY will wax and wane, up and down like the tides..not in straight line...

So I will trade some by selling into rallies and buying on dips...I will buy the warrants quite agressively if it drops to 6 or less...more bang for the buck..

Investor...I only sold about 10% of the mother ..those bought below 8 and 30% of CV bought at 10c...waiting now with extra capacity to buy at lower levels or sell some more if around 10... goes up or down also alright for me...

I said before there are operators in HY but u guys give KYY too much credit in HY's case...There are others who are much bigger than him...

I think KYY is not manipulating the stock..he is just profiting from its volatility as a smart investor/trader.

To pump/dump HY u need whales...

Crack spread futures are a guide and useful for hedging only. The profitability of HY very much depends on its management on how they manage their inventory. They will hedge their positions against a rise in crude oil prices eating into their profit margins. This may be through future options or actually increasing/decreasing their inventories. At one time when crude prices plunged and the world was awash with black gold, tankers were used to hold stocks.

As they say the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so we shall see HY's mettle in their actual profit/loss results. So far they have done good and I expect this to be so for the next few years unless oil plunges steeply again.

In the meantime its share price waxes and wanes like the tides affected by the moon's (operator/s) movements and luminosity...

Filidon, sorry to hear about that but I am not sifu lah...just someone who was badly burnt in the 97 crisis. My most important lesson is always have spare cash to buy. This downtrend I bought a lot of CV at 10c and sold at 21c.

Tell u something...a well known operator who was sentenced to jail used to have a room in a stockbroking house. He would have 3 screens just for selling and 1 screen for buying...At his sell command all 3 sell screen will throw to market. As there is only one buy screen, sell is always faster and u have no time to escape if u q to buy.

Good but may not travel in straight line so sell all the way up in batches and buy back on dips. Those I bought at 15 will sell around 18 to 20

I have freed up some capital and can buy back more at lower levels if it comes to that. Huat Arr...!!!

For me, I'll still hold at least until Q1 is out.
If results good, hopefully can hold till 2020.
With the profit from warrant, my safety margin now very close to 3iii TP 4.20.

I realized some good gains for the lower batches bought at below 7 and below 8...sold a all my CV bought at 10c. Now my average cost should be down to RM11..some say don't average down which I cannot fathom as I believe in HY's fundamentals so I should average down particularly, if it can have good EPS and high NTA ..
