normally, when a company do a rights issue, i will first view the financial statements. If the company itself is good, then the rights issue should be okay. But if the company is a loss-making one, or having cash flow problems, i will avoid it. The proceeds that got from the right issue will most likely dry up very fast..

i respect one of my friend who holds this counter for more than 7 years and still holding now. The dividend he received is far better than putting inside FD. It was my advise then..
