This is not like glove factories where any Tom & Jerry ahem.. Tom, Dick, and Harry can setup, although still need local council approval.

All these Covid19 vaccines are long term business and not many companies were given license by the govt to do it. More scarce than digital banking license as you can count them with 3 fingers only..

@stockraider SerbaDK will still need to appoint an external auditor right? The auditor cannot be appointed legally without the professional clearance letter from previous auditor.

The role of special independent reviewer does not need professional clearance letter. EY just need to access some working papers from KPMG only. But with KPMG's consent. EY will not give any audit opinion after it had done its job. Only the auditor can do it.

I am not sure why you are still confused..

@stockraider i am referring to the NEW auditor WHOEVER it is. It might be Deloitte or PWC. As for special independent revier, KPMG will give the cooperation to EY as this case is now under the radar of SC and Bursa.

a lot of investment banks only started to downgrade now. Really useless IBs. None of them got it right when the issues first started last month.

@Stockkingdom the audit process was stopped by KPMG, pending the appointment of special independent reviewer to be appointed by the Serba side. And Serba was reluctant or forgotten about the issue till the very last minute, and hence blaming KPMG for their negligence. That was what I understand. I don't think Serba could win this civil suit.

@stockisnotfun not yet been appointed. Now Serbadk's lawyer is liasing with KPMG's lawyer whether able to get the working papers for EY. If KPMG refuse to release their audit working papers, then EY will not accept the independent reviewer appointment.

Alternatively, Serbadk can appoint EY as their auditors to take over KPMG place. In doing that, Serbadk will need to find another big firm as independent reviewer. EY can only act as one entity at a time.

Pls listen to Stock Kingdom. Based on his replies, i can assume he is from the audit line. May i ask you something stock kingdom.

1) The auditors liaise with which person in charge from the company actually? The audit committee(independent directors) or the accountant of the company?

2) i understand that Debtor/Creditor confirmations is a must. What about bank confirmations?
