From the production figures, 21Q4 revenue should be 220-240mil, profit should be ~50-60mil

from the production figure and sales volume, it shows that around 6-7k MT CPO not sold in this quarter. This is justified by a 22 mil increase of inventory. Is this a strategy in this upward cycle or just low CPO demand from JTIASA?

“The increase was mainly due to the higher revenue contributed from both manufacturing and trading division due to increase in demand for insulation products as well as copper pipe in this quarter.”

I would say the result is very good, it is even better than pre-Covid result!

Shanghai steel futures surged to a new record-high above 5,700 yuan a tonne buoyed by strong domestic demand as the peak constructions season starts. Also, production curbs aimed at reducing carbon emissions in China’s steel capital Tangshan have been boosting prices and profitability at mills. Global demand is also making a return as more economies reopen, with China’s finished steel exports surging 24.5% from a year earlier in the first four months of the year.

Inventory lag effect will boost up ULICORP profit margin.

Assume 2021 and 2022 - 800m/qtr = 6400/2720 = RM2.35

NTA = RM0.82

Assume 400m/qtr from 2023 onwards - EPS = 58.8/yr

PE=15 -> 58.8*15=RM8.82

Fair Price = 2.35+0.82+8.82= RM11.99

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/malaysia-imposes-antidumping-duties-flatrolled-steel-china-south-korea-vietnam

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 23): Malaysia has imposed anti-dumping duties on certain flat-rolled steel products from China, South Korea and Vietnam for five years, its Ministry of International Trade and Industry said on Wednesday.

The duties on flat-rolled products of non-alloy steel plated or coated with aluminium and zinc, come after an anti-dumping investigation was carried out on behalf of the domestic industry, the ministry said.

The investigation found that "the subject merchandise is being imported into Malaysia at a price lower than the selling price in the alleged countries", it said in a statement.

The tax would range between 2.18% to 18.88% for products from China, and 9.98% to 34.94% for products from South Korea, and 3.06% to 37.14% for products from Vietnam.

The duties came into effect on Dec 12 and will be imposed until Dec 11, 2025.

Vietnam made a similar move on Wednesday, putting duties on some coil or sheet cold-rolled steel products originating from China, also for five years, starting Dec 28
