YTL won the bid for 1Bestarinet project which involves the provision of high speed Internet service for 10,000 schools. Other projects awarded by Education Ministry to them include supply of chrome book laptop & creation of a virtual learning platform for students, teachers & parents costing up to RM 513.3 million. This is in conjunction with Education Ministry plan for 1student1device program, though it has not been implemented yet.
