on 24 Oct 2013, they announced their share buy back of 100 units?? And paid only RM91 for the buy back?? Why?? What signal are they sending??

expecting interim dividend next month?? possibly another bonus issue?? ,.........

But this T.Rowe character is somewhat a boring little trader.... see, in Malaysia, the word is "BIG", and almost anything is just as BIG.....

Interestingly, the selling pressure is off for sometime now..... there r neither big nor dismal news in this counter. Thus, mostly the trading was done by T.ROwe who declared as substantial shareholder holding barely above 5%.

Unfortunately, not..... they r keeping the price at 3.... neither selling or buying heavily.....

WHY keeping it at 3 and not letting it rally?? Why?? o y??

But I think that u may have missed the genuine time to buy coz the trade now is really "made-up" by this group of punters who r inducing ppl to sell cheap to them... they r not really selling, but collecting ....

Of course, it is back to its IPO price...... but r u buying?? or selling??

(1) The rally on ASTRO's prices started mid May. Averagely, the prices have moved between 2.9 to 3.10 before settling at this level of RM3. Approximately 20sen capital gains in just one month, with an average price of RM3. Thus, capital gains of 6.7% per month (i.e. 20sen / RM3 = 6.7% gain in one-month)

(2) There will also be payout of 3 sen dividends (2 sen interim + 1 sen final) by July. So, if wait another one month, there will be another 1% dividend income.

So, by just holding on to ASTRO's shares and doing nothing in the span of 2 months, the punters would have gained 7.7% gains. Annualised, that would be (7.7% *12month/2) = 46.2% annualised income. And that's why the gwailo r buying this counter, besides being the index component stock.
