Of course. Japan's rally is way overblown.Deflating the currecncy has failed to solve their trade deficit problem. Japan never had a trade deficit for 50 years before they started having it sometime last year. The can always blame the strong yen but now that the yen is 25 percent off its peak what else do they want to blame? The deficit got larger recently in fact. The government is a serious predicament. crawler, What's the logic of the recent rally then? It is the only developer that Made a QUARTERLY loss in the last quarter. I am talking about correction for Ivory only. The recent rally is not justified by any means. You are nothing more than a bloody fool who thinks that you knows nothing better than spreading rumours to push up share price. What do you mean by value investing? Show me some tangible value in the company not newspaper article that claims it is going to make bla bla. Talk is cheap. What value is there in a developer that made a quarterly loss in a booming market? What value is there to a developer that owes as much as it is worth? What value is there in a developer that made ZERO PROFIT FROM OPERATIONS last year in a booming market. Finally , what value is there in a developer that only knows how to talk big. It boasted that it will make more than 50 mil last year in the IPO roadshow. It managed only 20 mil NON CASH profit.

If Ivory cannot make money from its operations in a booming market, no one knows what will happen when then property bubble bursts.

The gap in market cap between tambun and hunza is now a mere 10 million anyway. It can go either way anytime. Hunza cannot rely on Gurney Paragon alone. Their phase 1 food and Beverage mall is finding it hard to compete with their Singaporean big boys next door. Rentals in fact have been reduced to compete with them.

The only other notalble landbank they have is Bukit Jambul in the south. It has been left idle for 3 years due to thier inability to evict squatters(a very senstive issue). The land is promising but the holding cost has alreaady been substansial.

It is rare for developers to dispose land. Land generates higher returns when it is developed.Furthermore, selling land in bayan mutiara may even contravene the agreement signed between them and PDC.

Property prices might still be holding steady in the high end market but transations are going down in this segment according to the latest stats. Banks are paring down their exposure to housing loans. The future may not be as rosy as they think especially for a highly leveraged developer.

Another issue that concerns me is that they have started SELLING LAND in smaller parcels in bayan mutiara. The company has always claimed that they have been such a genius in acquring such a promising land. Furthermore, their main partner in that project DIJAYA is also looking for buyers in a land close to KLCC as well. Disposal of land by developers is usually not seen in a positive light.

well said kchongnz. I cant believe how vain some of these people are. Technically I am surprised if the stock is not overbought. But FUNDAMENTALLY, the stock has rallied if you look at it from a ex rights perspective. Market cap has almost doubled from IPO when there has been no increase in earnings to show for. The company was forecasted to make 50 - 60 mil last year. It achieved 30 mil in non cash profit. According to the AMresearch report pre IPO that gave them 1.50, it is made on the assumption that there is no rights issue and no extra shares to dilute the com. Since the rights issue was 1 to 1. You have to use the oringinal share capital to value it based on the report. Rm1.50/2= Rm0.75. Target price achieved despite failing to meet earnings target.
