just wondering, can anyone clarify that with KPMG purported resignation, the new auditor will need to redo a full audit as I am sure they may not want to sign off the whole account by only auditing parts of the issues in the account only?

auditor resigning is not a good sign. it means they do not agree with the accounts and cannot sign off the accounts....like (cough cough) ....1MDB (cough cough)... in law, either party can cancel the agreement bcos of 'frustration'. have you ever seen any big blue chip auditors resigned suddenly due to 'inability to perform' due to 'frustration'?

cannot trust auditor opinion? did you know that auditors are guided by code of conduct? if they dont follow, they can lose their license to do business? do we think it is worth it for auditor to stick their neck out for a small fry client? I have dealt with external auditors before in my previous employments. at the end of the day, as long as you can satisfy their questions, and accept, there is no reason why they want to give you problem. If you cant satisfy them with the acceptable answer, they will keep asking and in the final act, will refuse to sign off the accounts. if for the past years they sign off without problem and accepted your answer as it is, they maybe now take note that the same answer cannot be accepted or delay anymore.

in a way I hope justice is served if wrong doing is detected. I lost a lot of money in Sumatec and money lost and balance cannot get back a sen since company in PN17 more than 3 years ago. that one hanky panky case. dunno why so many of these oil and gas companies involve in mickey mouse
